🌍🤝European and Chinese experts convene to explore electricity law revisions supporting China’s energy transition!🌍 https://lnkd.in/eyz2WvMF 🔦 In early October, GIZ, the EU-China Energy Cooperation Platform (ECECP) and China Electricity Council (CEC) co-hosted the "Workshop on Legislating for a New Electricity System – Integrating High Shares of Variable Renewable Generation." 🙌 The event brought together policy makers and researchers from China, the EU, Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, and France to exchange knowledge on legislative reforms supporting renewable energy integration.   🔗 The event aligns with the ongoing efforts of the Sino-German Energy Partnership, led by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) and China's National Energy Administration (NEA), to advance legislative exchanges and cooperation on energy transition. ✅ Since 2022, the energy partnership has organized several workshops to deepen Sino-German cooperation on legislative framework in the energy sector. ✅ In 2023, GIZ published the report - The Role of Energy Law in German Energy Transition - providing key insights into how Germany’s legislative frameworks have shaped its energy transition, serving as a valuable reference for China’s ongoing reforms.   #EnergyTransition #RenewableEnergy #SinoGermanCooperation #ElectricityMarket #Sustainability #Legislation #ClimateAction #EnergyPolicy #EnergyPartnership
