To be clear: funding and resources are now so tight that schools and SENCOs are starting to ration and providing supports only to children with EHCPs (a separate process to assessments that can also take years and be made more difficult in absence of a diagnosis).

If you were watching Channel 4 news this evening, you would have seen me, Cathy Wassell and others discussing the important issue of waiting times for autism assessments. As part of this feature, there were some incredible contributions from several autistic young people, which are well worth a watch.
