A plan is NOT a Strategy I see so many chief sustainability officers spending so much time on planning their ESG initiatives and not enough time on linking these initiatives with their ESG/ Sustainability strategy. Why? Because they didn’t spend too much on it and hence its always at the back burner and never at the forefront of their planning and evaluation cycle. I rarely see the sustainability leads asking themselves this question " how does this activity link to our sustainability commitment and our growth plan? So, for all of you out there who are looking after your sustainability and ESG initiatives STOP, REFELECT, ACT Ensure your actions are strategically aligned with your company's broader goals. I also thought this video from Harvard Business School is useful to showcase the difference between a strategy and a plan https://lnkd.in/eCkrjD9z 💫💫💫💫💫💫💫 Follow me for best practices on engaging suppliers, employees and ESG capacity building 💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫 #Sustainability#ESG#Strategy#Leadership#BusinessGrowth

EMBRACE CHANGE FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE We are thrilled to unveil our transformative Four-Pillar Framework, a beacon illuminating the path towards a radiant, sustainable, and inclusive future for businesses. This framework isn't merely the culmination of our journey with RoundMap; it distills our insights into their purest form – simple, yet profound words born from deep wisdom. As John Morisson insightfully observed, while knowledge springs from analysis, true wisdom blossoms through synthesis. Our pivotal realization is clear: the status quo is unsustainable. With the planet's resources dwindling and waste piling up, the time for accountability and positive change is now. We must boldly confront and rectify the impacts of our actions on all stakeholders. Yet, designing for impact is just the beginning. To forge lasting success, we must equally nurture the other pillars: building vibrant, thriving organizations; aligning our collective strengths; and uplifting and empowering the people who journey with us. The call to action is urgent and hopeful – to become proactive guardians of our world. There's no better moment to embark on this transformative journey than the present. Join us in shaping a future where we all flourish together.
