We live in a capitalist society which means that 99% of companies won't change their behaviour (ie plastic packaging) unless it makes commercial sense to then. So here's the really simple answer: hit them on their bottom line. 1) Tax plastic to cover the cost to the environment including cleaning up and recycling 2) As a consumer stop buying "stuff" that uses or is packaged in plastic 3) As a consumer promote via word of mouth and social media those companies that are doing the right thing and call out those that don't. then stand back and watch corporate behavior change overnight.

We can’t recycle our way out of this. Here’s what to do instead: In 2023, we produced 248 million tons of plastic packaging. Only 14% got recycled. The rest ends up landfilled, incinerated or openly littered. Companies must change their single-use, throw-away packaging design. Refuse -> reduce -> reuse -> … and only then recycle And remember: it’s only 20 companies that make 55% of all the plastic pollution. Not 8 billion people. Let’s turn off the tap and end plastic pollution. PS.: do you have a zero waste hack? 👉 hit follow for more ♻️ repost if this hits home #wastemanagement #circulareconomy #sustainability

Why wax? At Plastic2WaxLife, we convert plastic waste into wax because it offers a cleaner, more sustainable solution to plastic pollution. Our process reduces the amount of plastic ending up in landfills and oceans while producing high-value wax that can be used across industries like packaging, cosmetics, and textiles. But it’s not just about reducing waste. By using advanced technology that ensures zero harmful emissions and no waste, we reduce greenhouse gases and promote a circular economy. Instead of relying on crude oil-based wax, we create an eco-friendly alternative that helps reduce the carbon and plastic footprint. With the support of Trifol Resources and the EU LIFE Programme, Plastic2WaxLife is leading the way in creating sustainable solutions that benefit both businesses and the environment. Together, we’re building a cleaner, greener future. # circulareconomy # plastic2waxlife #Lifeprogramme #Sustainability #GreenInnovation #EcoFriendly #WasteReduction #TrifolResources #EULIFE #PlasticRecycling #SustainableSolutions #EnvironmentalImpact #GreenFuture

🌊♻️ Ocean Recovery Group tackles plastic pollution and champions a circular economy. Here's how it works: Collect: We deploy dedicated teams to coastal areas and build programs that incentivize recycling ocean-bound plastic waste 🚮🌊 Condense: The collected plastic undergoes a rigorous process where it's cleaned, sorted, and condensed into bales♻️💧 Flake: The plastic is transformed into flakes, ready to be utilized in various manufacturing processes. 🔄🔨 Integrate: Flakes are sent to manufacturers who incorporate them back into the supply chain 🌐🌱 #OceanRecovery #CircularEconomy #Sustainability #PlasticFree #ReduceReuseRecycle #SaveOurOceans #TogetherWeCan #EnvironmentalAction #CleanSeas #GreenFuture #sustainability #plastic
