Why are we called Prenn? We have been asked this a few times in the past. We chose the name Prenn Landscaping as “Prenn” is Cornish for wood. Now, not only do we use a lot of timber and sustainable materials in our projects and we do everything we can to source locally in Cornwall, Wood is also Nicks surname. So it’s quite fitting. Interesting fact, Nicks family also use Prenn in their business names as well. Westbrook Greenhouse Systems heard grower complaints about condensation dripping on their plants and responded with the APEX roof. Apex is the most drip free design on the market thanks to the shape of the roof and its integration with the gutter. It is engineered for high crop, wind, and snow loads. 🔹 Apex Types 1.     Gutter Vent: this was the first design, in the mid-90’s. It is a low-cost solution to solving the condensation issue within poly covered greenhouses. 2.     Peak Vent: it was added for growers who want to relieve hot air, but avoid direct sunlight on their crop. Positioning these greenhouses correctly allows the open roof to diffuse the sunlight even when open. 3.     Raised Gutter Vent: it was designed for growers who need to start spring early and may still have snow in the gutter. 4.     Ridge Vent: it was requested by Garden Centers and allows the roof to open near the peak to release hot air while keeping customers dry.
