ECOMONDO will be held from 5 to 8 November. An event characterized by exhibition proposals that will address issues belonging to six macro-areas with current and cutting-edge themes, which concern the industry and the entire conference schedule. As always, we can't wait to be able to compare ourselves with other corporates in the sector (and not only) and learn the innovative solutions of this period that will lead us to further development. https://ecobloks.it/ #block #palletblock #bloccopallet #palletblocks #blocchettipallet #ecosostenibilità #recycled #recycledwood #wood #durable #ecobloks #aziendagreen

Sustainability isn’t just about making products less energy-intensive, pollutive, and resource-inefficient - it's also about building things to last, so they don't need replacing with something that's been manufactured anew. At wineo, this is one of the many forms of sustainability we champion. Alongside natural ingredients, local sourcing, 100% climate-neutral energy use, and high recyclability, we make flooring that lasts. Durable, resilient, impact-resistant, non-stain, with up to 25 years' guarantee, this is flooring that stays the distance, minimising the impact on the environment - and delivering greater return on investment. 🔨🏢 During the renovation of the Cambium building near Paris, AGC Recycle Glass collaborated with OUEST ALU through their CYCLIUM closed-loop recycling service to collect about 30 tons of glass. 👉This glass will be used for the production of new float glass at our Belgian float plant in Moustier. ♻️ Our mission? To maximize the use of recycled flat glass (cullet) from end-of-life windows and renovation projects, paving the way for a truly circular flat glass production process. 💡Highlight: This partnership with OUEST ALU demonstrates how flat glass circularity can be achieved through innovative approaches to dismantling and collecting glazing, even in the bustling environment of city centers. 🔗 Discover more about our Recycle Glass service https://lnkd.in/etYTFiyv 📍Cambium building, Nanterre (92), France Building owner: Syndicat des copropriétaires immeuble MB 11-12, represented by COGEVA PM, and SEFAL PROPERTY Architects: Palissad 🤝Recycle Glass Partners: OUEST ALU (Groupe LIEBOT) #agcglass #recycleglass #flatglass #recycling #circulareconomy #closedlooprecycling #sustainablerenovation

Who said sustainability is a limitation for our industry? For us, it’s essential, and far from restrictive. Today, new green standards are redefining what it means to work with marble ethically and responsibly. Our commitment to sustainability isn’t just about meeting requirements; it’s about driving true innovation across the production chain. Marble producers are implementing more efficient and less invasive extraction methods, prioritizing renewable energy, and investing in systems that recycle and repurpose waste. True luxury in today's world isn’t just about beauty; it’s about ethical responsibility. #MarmiVrech #sustainability #sustainable #future #Marble 👉 Follow Marmi Vrech

FFD to highlight circular economy projects Flanders Flooring Days will demonstrate increased research into flooring’s circular economy next summer. The European Green Deal, introduced in 2019, aims to ensure a climate-neutral EU by 2050. Part of this involves the creation of a circular economy, where raw materials are kept in circulation for as long as possible. Belgian textile and plastics research centre Centexbel and 18 European partners have created the CISUFLO (Circular Sustainable Floor Coverings) project, focused on the circularity of carpet, vinyl and laminate. The project’s new practical guidance tool will be on show at the exhibition. The Living Lab Carpet, supported by VLAIO - Flanders Innovation & Entrepreneurship, aims to give worn-out carpets a second or even third life. It investigates where old carpets end up and what condition they are in to find out if they are still suitable for reuse, repair or renovation. To get all stakeholders on the same page, it has developed a comprehensive training plan and in doing so, Living Lab Carpet is reducing overall environmental impact by 40%, while at the same time cutting resource consumption by 60%. The event takes place across Flanders from 2-5 June. https://lnkd.in/ebaHMunf #flooring #flooringindustry #flooringshow

Though I’m no longer on the Kumbaya association camp payroll (still a member and volunteer), I’m very much vested in collaboration, community, and engaging conversations targeting industry improvement. I can’t make a difference alone, you can’t make a difference alone… But WE can collectively course correct with baby steps in the right direction. A solid first step is putting the right people in the right room together. Crawl, walk, run… We got the band back together at the Gensler office this week to talk all things architectural glass recycling and sustainability. Of course the presentation and perspectives were awesome, but I’d be lying to not admit I was equally excited to get to hang with my buds Lisa Rammig (Eckersley O'Callaghan), EPD whisperer Sophie Pennetier and Mic Patterson PhD (Facade Tectonics). Yes, I know that’s not Mic in the pic, calm down. That’s my new friend Alex Falcon (EOC). A couple quotes that stuck with me: “𝘌𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘣𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘦 𝘣𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘮, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳.” –Mic Patterson. “𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘯 𝘥𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘣𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘵 𝘢𝘴 𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘱 𝘢𝘴 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘓.𝘈..” –Brian Fraumeni We also got fresh updates on the Circu·Clarity initiative, the brainchild of Lisa Rammig and Linda Hildebrand. Their goal was to create a platform for the exchange of knowledge that leads to real progress and innovation within the glass industry. The focus is on circularity, resource efficiency and environmental impact. I was there for its birth in 2022 at glasstec – International Trade Fair, and participate in the growing network of 80+ professionals involved worldwide. I’m 100% absolutely the dumbest person in the group. I recommend checking it out and getting involved. Anyone else remember Recycle Rex and the 90’s banger “Close the Loop”? If you do, that song is now stuck in your head for the rest of the day. You’re welcome.
