The last two days, over 100 influential personalities and leaders from the fields of business, education and politics gathered at the 6th “Swiss Digital Summit” (Digital Gipfel Schweiz), organized by digitalswitzerland, to discuss the rapid advancements in artificial intelligence (AI).
It was an honor to listen to many renowned speakers such as Meredith Whittaker from Signal, Zack Kass from OpenAI, Mathis Buechi, serial entrepreneur, bestselling author Alexander Osterwalder, entrepreneur Henrik Werdelin, and Martin Hoffmann from On AG underscored the significance of AI, highlighting both the opportunities and risks it presents.
In this context, the role of digitalswitzerland takes on a pivotal role in fostering collaboration and paving the way towards preparedness. It's not merely about keeping up with the pace; it's about proactively staying ahead. This entails skillfully navigating the complex questions of trust and sovereignty.

A big thank you to Marc Walder, Marcel Stalder, Stefan Metzger, Sascha Zahnd and the entire digitalswitzerland team!

Fantastic. Did the conversation touch on the ability of AI to heat our cities as part of the sustainability strategy? Would be amazing if our data centers can not only run on our fossil free energy, but also heat our communities as a small thank you having the privilege of using Sweden’s power. Out of Sweden's 290 municipalities, 240 have district heating. What an unmissable opportunity.
