🚚 40 Years in Van Lines: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly 🚚 Hey friends, After spending a cool 40 years in the van line networks, I’ve seen it all - the highs, the lows, and the "what the hell were they thinking?" moments. Don't get me wrong, I’ve made some of my best friends in the industry (yeah, looking at you!), but let’s chat about why the traditional van line model might need a bit of a shake-up. 🤔 1. High Fees, Who Dis? - Ever feel like you're working just to pay the man? Those high operational costs and endless fees can eat into your profits like termites in a woodshed. We need to keep the lights on without giving away the store! 2. Brand Jail - Love the brand, hate the restrictions. It's like wearing a uniform in high school all over again. I get it, consistency is key, but a little freedom to market our own way wouldn't hurt. Let's mix it up! 3. Old-School Rules in a Digital World - Everyone using the same old tech and processes can be as exciting as watching paint dry. We’re in the age of AI and real-time tracking, folks! Time to innovate or get left behind. 🚀 4. All Your Eggs in One Basket - Relying too much on the van line for business? It’s risky business, like eating gas station sushi. Time to diversify and not put all our hopes in one big, branded basket. 5. Territorial Tiffs - Ever feel like you’re in a turf war? Sometimes it feels more like "Game of Thrones" than business. Let's turn the competition into collaboration. There’s enough room for all of us! 6. The Red Tape Parade - Navigating the bureaucracy can be tougher than explaining TikTok to your grandma. More flexibility, less paperwork – let’s make it happen! I know, I know, I’ve been part of this world for 40 years, but hey, who better to call it like it is? Here’s to building a future where we take the best of the past and mix it with the innovation of tomorrow. 🍻 To all my van line friends, love you guys, and let's keep the conversation going. What do you think? Can we teach an old dog new tricks? Stay movin’, Wes #MovingIndustry #VanLines #ChangeIsGood #Logistics #Networking

As we're gearing up for Global Pet Expo 2024, we're conducting a comprehensive review of hundreds of Pet Brands on Amazon. Our findings indicate that the most prevalent issues are always the same: 📛 Channel Control: The brand is not selling directly, only resellers 📛 Advertising: No defensive product ads (sales going to competitors) 📛 Branding: No brand store connected to the ASIN's, lack of Brand Ads 📛 Listings: Majority of the images are not mobile-friendly, or poorly optimized These are the fundamentals required to be successful on the Amazon platform. 💚 Be the ONLY seller of your brand on Amazon (and own the channel) 💚 Dominate defensive advertising, then go after your competitors 💚 Maintain brand continuity across listings, storefront and advertising 💚 Optimize for mobile and all best practices, including A+ content Avenue7Media's Head of Business Development & Sales, Shannon Roddy is heading to Global Pet Expo with the intention of teaching brand owners about how they can leverage the Amazon store to grow and protect their brand equity across all channels. eCom brands need to educate their site visitors. Innovet Pet Products does this very well. The video below shows how they do it. They realized that if they could educate their customers better, they would be able to increase their conversions. So, they decided to gamify their educational components to get visitors to actually learn. The result: a store-wide conversion uplift of 15%. 🤠 From their head of eCom, Justin Baba: " ... where it once took 10-16 visits for a conversion, with Alia, we're seeing conversions on the first or second visit."

Countdown post ⏳ #15 days left !🌱 "The Carrot Fact You Didn’t See Coming" 🥕 Here’s a fun fact: carrots weren’t always orange. Originally, they came in shades of purple, yellow, and even white. The orange carrot we know today was cultivated by Dutch farmers in the 17th century as a tribute to the House of Orange—talk about a colourful history! But the story doesn’t end there. Just like how carrots evolved, our grocery shopping habits are changing too. At eZpZ, we’re all about creating a brighter, more sustainable future. By reducing the number of shopping trips you make, you’re not only saving time but also cutting down on carbon emissions, reducing traffic, and avoiding those long lines at the supermarket. Every time you choose to shop through eZpZ, you’re making a small but meaningful contribution to your community and the environment. You’re part of a movement towards smarter, greener shopping. So, the next time you crunch into a carrot, remember—you’re helping to grow a more sustainable world, one bite at a time. #eZeypeZey #CarrotFacts #Sustainability #CommunityConnection #LessEmissions #GroceryShopping #ComingSoon

How Two Abandoned Kittens 🐈🐈⬛ Sparked a Bold Redesign for WHISKAS It all started just a few days ago when our designer stumbled upon two abandoned kittens, lost and helpless. She couldn’t just walk away. Without a second thought, she brought them home, determined to give them the love and care they desperately needed. Having never had a cat before, she started researching the best food to nourish her new furry companions. That’s when she came across Whiskas—a global brand known for its top-quality cat food. Curious, she signed up for their email list. But when the welcome email arrived, something was off. It felt underwhelming, lacking the warmth and consistency you'd expect from a brand like Whiskas. That’s when inspiration struck. She couldn’t stop thinking about how to make that email better. What if Whiskas’ welcome email truly reflected the heart of their brand? Driven by that thought, she set out to create a fresh version in Subjectlime’s signature style. The result? A beautifully crafted email that captures the warmth, care, and quality Whiskas stands for—just like the care our designer gave those kittens. The kittens are now safe and thriving, and we had a lot of fun bringing this new design to life. Want to see how it all came together? Check out the video for a behind-the-scenes look! 🐾 --------------------------- I'm Riccardo Fucile, and for 5 years I've helped DTC (& B2B lately) brands maximize growth and retention through Emails and SMS Automation ✉️📲. 🎅 Did Coca-Cola create Santa’s red suit, or is there more to the story? As brand managers, we're constantly reminded of the power of consistent, emotionally resonant storytelling. One of the most iconic examples is the modern image of Santa Claus. While Coca-Cola didn’t invent the red-suited Santa, their 1930s campaigns immortalized this version, transforming it into the global symbol we recognize today. Before Coca-Cola’s involvement, Santa’s appearance varied—sometimes even wearing different colors. But through strategic branding, Coca-Cola’s ads solidified the red suit as the definitive look. It's a masterclass in how branding can shape culture. This serves as a reminder: a strong brand doesn’t just create recognition—it can become part of our collective memory, transcending products and creating lasting emotional connections. As we approach the holiday season, it’s worth reflecting on how our brands can resonate on that deeper level. ❓ What other examples of branding have had a lasting cultural impact? Let’s discuss. #BrandManagement #MarketingInsights #CulturalBranding #CocaCola #SantaClaus #HolidayMarketing
