Here's something that ALL businesses should review immediately relating to their Microsoft licenses 👇 Microsoft Licensing! Many businesses in the UK will be unaware of a specific event that now happens annually, thanks to a change in how Microsoft licensing contracts work. The Microsoft New Commerce Experience means that once a business has purchased its licenses, they are committed to those subscriptions for at least 1 year without being able to cancel. Microsoft rolled out this program in January 2022, and with a few extensions given at the time, March and April tend to be reset dates for most businesses. What does it mean? 1) If you're on the wrong licenses, and it auto-renews, you're stuck for another year, potentially paying over the odds for the functionality you need. 2) Equally, if you've had leavers or downsized in any way, and those licenses auto-renew, you will be committed to paying for those licenses for another year, even though they are not used.
