🎯 In Happonomy's mission to contribute to building a #regenerative economy that cleans up the social & ecological damage we created, it always brings me hope when generations, institutions and countries join forces. 💰 Eight years ago we released our Sustainable Money System, a monetary design that supports sustainable behavior. 4 years ago, we developed Pension Plan, our workshop / learning game which lets you experience hashtag #capitalism's impact and lets you experience the new system. 🙏🏻 Last year, Pleun Haantjes from Wageningen University & Research wrote her thesis about the game and now, Bas Nierop and his fellow students from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, developed the prototype of the online Pension Plan game which we intend to use for both scientific research and awareness building of the systemic challenge we're collectively facing. Today also, Esteban Gybels, one of my students in my course 'sustainable entrepreneurship' at HOWEST Hogeschool West-Vlaanderen asked if we could look into making a simple card game out of the game... Let's play more... Onwards! #happonomy #regenerativeeconomy #adultlearninggame

#BeforeAndAfterWithSSETS Engaging with #SSETS, a journey that is designed to bridge the gap between academia and entrepreneurship, has actually been a transformational experience for me. It has opened up a direct opportunity to translate my research into tangible real-world applications geared towards solving societal problems. During this first few months of my personal experience with #SSETS, I found a dynamic environment where traditional academic knowledge meets the practicalities of business innovation. The #SSETS program offers a holistic approach, providing training in entrepreneurial skills such as market analysis, intellectual property management, and fundraising strategies, while also fostering a mindset shift towards embracing risk and innovation. With just two early sessions of a workshops, mentorship opportunities, and networking events, I am gradually becoming equipped with the tools and mindset necessary to navigate the complex landscape of entrepreneurship while maintaining the rigor of academic engagements. By fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration, the #SSETS program is empowering me to transcend the confines of traditional academic silos and pursue impactful ventures that address immediate real-world challenges. As a scientist, I have found immense value in engaging with #SSETS, not only in enhancing my early entrepreneurial acumen but also in broadening my perspective on the potential applications and societal implications of my routine academic research. Ultimately, my #SSETS experience is not only enriching my academic journey but also empowering me to contribute meaningfully to the innovation ecosystem and drive positive change beyond the confines of the laboratory. My sincere appreciation to the #Foreign_CommonWealth_and_Development_Office, the #Lancaster_University, the #British_Council, the #National_University_Commission (NUC) and my great university, #Ahmadu_Bello_University (ABU) for selecting me and giving me this life time opportunity of self-rediscovery. I am also acknowledging the tireless efforts and resilience of my amiable promoters; #Dr_Akanimo_Odon and #Dr_Viola_Akhigbe Keep us busy for you are, surely, doing well. #BeforeAndAfterWithSSETS, #EntrepreneurialAcademics, #SSETS2024
