Over the weekend, I was reading some historical stories on X(twitter)... And I came across this unique one where in 1936, a five-story department store in Copenhagen pulled off one of the most audacious marketing campaigns ever. The store’s five-story façade was completely covered in coats as part of a massive coat sale resulting in the sale of all coats. This got me thinking about how this can be applied in modern-day marketing and here was my takeaway.... 💡Bold marketing ideas and campaigns get people talking making it impossible for you to be ignored 💡Amid scarcity you have to be creative... by using limited-time offers 💡The coat campaign today could be equated to several social media posts on Instagram, TikTok where marketers can use campaigns to inspire content creation and sharing Bringing the 1936-level boldness is a target for me and should be for you too. The 1936 marketing model if rebranded can still work for you and me in this century. ADIOS #ThinkMarketing #ThinkRebranding #Marketingstories #Moderndaymarketing

🚀Unleashing the Power of Sensory Marketing. What is Sensory Marketing and why you should try it? 💎Sensory marketing is a powerful way for brands to connect with consumers by engaging their senses— taste, smell, and sight. It goes beyond visuals to create experiences your audience can truly feel, helping them imagine how your product fits into their lives. ✅Why does it work? Our brains are wired to respond to sensory stimuli. A delightful scent, a memorable texture, or a catchy jingle can trigger powerful associations, leading to brand loyalty and better recall. 🔑How leading brands use sensory marketing: A great example is rhode skin, which often uses taste-based cues to spark excitement around their products. To promote their new Cinnamon Roll lip gloss flavor, they shared irresistible imagery of cinnamon buns, autumn-inspired iced coffees, and cocoa dust. This clever use of food photography enabled consumers to almost taste the product just by looking at the visuals. The strong sensory connection not only built anticipation but also made audiences feel invested before even trying the product. 💡 How can you integrate sensory marketing into your strategy? 1️⃣ Align sensory elements with your brand identity. 2️⃣ Leverage emotions — tap into nostalgia or create anticipation. 3️⃣ Keep it authentic and consistent across all touchpoints. At its core, sensory marketing isn’t just about selling — it’s about creating unforgettable experiences that make your brand stand out. 🚀 How does your brand activate the senses? Emotional appeal in advertising/marketing is everything. It's what makes us stop scrolling, look up from our phones, and pay attention. And that attention is what every brand is vying for. Why? Because when done right, emotional appeal can lead to action. Whether it's making a purchase, signing up for a newsletter, or sharing a post, evoking emotion is the key to driving consumer behavior. Think about the last advertisement that made you tear up, laugh out loud, or feel a pang of nostalgia. Chances are, you remember the brand behind it. That's the power of emotional appeal. It forges a connection that goes beyond a product or service. It seeps into our subconscious and influences our decisions. So, the next time you're creating an ad, ask yourself: 👉What emotion do I want to evoke? 👉How will it resonate with my target audience? 👉Will it drive them to take action? Remember, the goal isn't just to make people feel something. It's to make them feel something and then do something. Because emotions may be intangible, but their impact is undeniable.

🔝 The Rise of Sensory Marketing The Power of Smell in Advertising: A New Frontier for Marketers ⏹️ In the ever-evolving world of advertising, brands are constantly seeking innovative ways to engage consumers. One such trend gaining traction is the use of sensory marketing, 🔷 particularly the incorporation of smell into advertising campaigns. Concept of billboards that emit the enticing aroma of their signature fries. This groundbreaking approach leverages the power of smell to trigger cravings and drive foot traffic to nearby restaurants. 🌟 Why this could be a game-changer: 1. Engaging Multiple Senses: Traditional advertising primarily focuses on visual and auditory stimuli. By incorporating smell, brands can create a more immersive and memorable experience, tapping into a powerful and often overlooked sense. 2. Evoking Emotions and Memories: The aroma of fries can evoke strong emotional responses, triggering nostalgic memories and feelings of comfort and happiness. 3. Direct Impact on Consumer Behavior: The alluring scent of fries wafting from a billboard could be incredibly effective in enticing passersby to stop and grab a meal. ✨ Challenges and Considerations: 1. Technological Feasibility: Ensuring consistent and controlled release of the scent while minimizing environmental impact and avoiding public nuisance are significant technological challenges. 2. Regulatory Compliance: Regulations related to public spaces and environmental impact will need to be carefully considered. 3. Consumer Perception: It's crucial to ensure that the implementation of such a campaign is not perceived as intrusive or overwhelming by the public. 🎇 While still in the realm of speculation, the concept of scent-emitting billboards highlights the potential of sensory marketing to revolutionize the way brands connect with consumers.
