"Back on LinkedIn and already heading out" 😅 Time to pack my bags... I'm taking a month off starting today. I'll keep this account active and I'm excited to engage with you through my upcoming posts. France is known for having some of the most generous vacation time in the world. However, the reality is quite different when you're an entrepreneur. Even with the desire—and the need—to rest, there's always that nagging worry about what might happen while we're away. That's why having a business that can run without you is crucial. Beyond problem-solving and profitability, I believe one of the key goals of a business is to have systems so well-oiled that everything runs smoothly in your absence. For the first time in 4 years, I'll be able to truly disconnect because I know I can count on my team to take over. They'll handle support, marketing, app updates, and any potential issues. And each team member will later be able to take their own vacation with peace of mind because we've found a balance that works for us. 🙂 It's an incredible feeling to close my laptop and say, "see you in 4 weeks." Still, I'm curious about how I'll react. Will I REALLY disconnect? Will I resist the urge to check in on support and code just to keep a foot in the business and feel reassured? Is it uncomfortable not feeling indispensable? Let's revisit this when I return. For now, vacation calls! 🏝️ #vacation #entrepreneurship

Design your ideal day ↳ Work when you're on fire ↳ Rest when you're not ↳ No permission slips needed Result? Life becomes the vacation. Remember: Entrepreneurs don't escape TO vacation. It's that time of the year. Goal dates are approaching fast, holiday hibernation is knocking at your door. Let me guess the routine: panic about goals you set and never reached, get frustrated and disappointed, book a holiday vacation. Okay, maybe you're routine is different AND most business owners slow down their business during the holiday season. Spending time with family is important and so is your business. When you lose momentum for months at a time, it takes time to get back on track. 📈 What are you doing to stay productive and still work towards your goals this year?

"Wait, it’s a holiday?" That moment when my husband told me he’d be home on a Wednesday to take the dogs to the vet was one of those head-scratching pauses in my week. I asked, “Why are you home mid-week?” His answer? “It’s a national holiday.” ...And that’s when I realized I had completely forgotten what holidays even are. When you’re an entrepreneur, especially one working from home, the lines between weekdays and weekends blur. There's no office calendar, no HR emails reminding you of upcoming holidays. It's just you, your to-do list, and the constant drive to build your vision. While I try to take Sundays off, the reality of entrepreneurship is that it often feels like there’s no time off. Every day is a workday, and the grind can become all-consuming. It’s easy to lose track of time when you’re deeply invested in your journey. And while we’re all about building our empires, sometimes we need to remember to stop and smell the flowers along the way. Take a pause. Celebrate the wins. Recognize the national holidays (even if it’s only when your spouse reminds you). Life outside of work is happening too, and it’s just as important as that project you’re working on. Like the Spanish test I have this evening which I am so not prepared for! To all the entrepreneurs out there: Don’t forget to give yourself some grace. You'd love to take that vacation with your friends... but you're out of vacation days. You want to go to that concert tonight but dread asking your boss if you can leave at 3pm. You'd love to go for a walk and take advantage of the beautiful weather, but you're worried someone might IM when you're out. 🔴 Why are we, as adults, okay with this model? A model where work always comes first, and your life is simply something that gets in the way. 💰 To me, time freedom is the most valuable thing in life. Better than any cars, boats, houses, or clothes. But time freedom probably feels like an impossible dream to you. The thing is, it's not. Yes, it takes work, dedication, and time to get there. And results aren't guaranteed. But we gladly waste time, money, and resources gambling on things like the lottery, college degrees, or online courses. ▶️ Why not bet a little on yourself and start a side business? Worst case, you waste time and energy. (You really don't need much money to try!) Best case, you achieve the greatest freedom you'll ever know. I'm here when you're ready to try. 😁

Have you ever turned your phone off for 24 hours? 👀 I did something “crazy” this weekend… I turned my phone (and all technology), OFF for over 24 hours. It's actually something I do every single year: 🚫📲 CONNECTION DAY Not having my phone allowed me to: - Start my morning with peace and quiet > overstimulation and comparison - Wonder and imagine whilst at the coffee shop > scrolling and texting - Be 100% present over lunch > checking my phone every now and again - Use my brain > google maps It was also so fun doing this with a few friends this year. To see who turned up and who didn't 👀 Some of my friends said “enjoy disconnection day” And I had to correct them. This is a day where we CONNECT. Truly. Phones and tech are just a distraction from your success. (In excess) Plus, they could be taken away at any moment. Connect with yourself more and your life with continually improve. Sooo… I'm going to do a 30 day challenge. Every single day over the next 30 days I'm going to do: 1. 10 mins tapping or meditation 2. 30 mins yoga 3. 8 hours sleep 4. Read 10 pages of a book 5. No phone 1 hour before bed 6. No phone 1 hour once awake 7. 1 kind gesture I'm 2 days in so far 😆 If I don't tick all 7 things off, I'll start again from day 0.
