I am pleased to announce that our paper entitled "An In-Depth Survey on Virtualization Technologies in 6G Integrated Terrestrial and Non-Terrestrial Networks" has been accepted for publication in IEEE Open Journal of the Communications Society and is now available online: https://lnkd.in/dCU9-brD In this work, we provide a comprehensive survey on the adaptation of network virtualization technologies, including software-defined networking (SDN), network function virtualization (NFV), and network slicing (NS), in 6G networks. We propose a taxonomy of the virtualization of integrated terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks (TN-NTNs) based on a four-level classification. We identify the main issues arising from the use of these networking paradigms in integrated TN-NTNs and highlight the pivotal role of AI in improving network virtualization.
