With changing weather and rainfall creating ideal conditions for flystrike, the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) urges sheep producers to stay vigilant. Signs like animals separating from the mob, reduced grazing, or discolored wool should prompt immediate action, including shearing affected areas and using registered chemical treatments. At Qwerty Experts, we understand that proper livestock transport is crucial for minimizing flystrike risk and overall animal welfare. Our innovative solutions, such as Qcareconnect, help livestock producers maintain the health and safety of their animals during transit by monitoring conditions like temperature and humidity to reduce stress and prevent infestation. More info on managing flystrike can be found on the DPIRD website & www.qwertyexperts.com. #AnimalWelfare #SheepFarming #LivestockTransport #Flystrike #QwertyExperts #Qcareconnect

Behind these impressive numbers are hardworking farmers who prioritize animal care to ensure safe, high-quality food for our tables. Iowa pig farmers follow strict animal welfare practices, including providing clean water, nutritious diets, and comfortable housing with temperature control. This focus on animal health and well-being isn’t just about ensuring productivity—it’s about doing what’s right. Healthy, stress-free animals produce healthier food, which benefits everyone. With 94% of U.S. farms being family-owned, many of these farmers are multigenerational, driven by a legacy of responsibility and care. Dogs are human's best friends. 🐶 And unsung heroes in animal agriculture. Dogs play pivotal parts on farms and ranches that are often overlooked. They are integral to animal welfare and keeping livestock alive. Guardian livestock dogs protect sheep or goat flocks by fending off predators such as bears, coyotes, and wolves. These breeds can also guard pasture-based poultry flocks from predators. And they reduce the need for ranchers to use traps or lethal means to protect their livestock, keeping wildlife safer from harm. Herding dogs make ranchers' lives easier, reducing the risk and amount of manual labor when moving livestock. They also can travel terrain that people can’t go. And do it quickly over great distances. Not to mention, they are adorable and loving towards their owners. There aren't many relationships in life as pure as a loyal and well-trained working dog. #soilhealth #sustainableagriculture #farming #agriculture #organicfarming #regenerativeagriculture #farm #livestock #animals #animalwelfare #meat #conservation

Even with changes coming to agriculture, confined animal feeding operations remain essential for poultry production at the scale needed to feed the U.S. population. While pasture-raised birds offer advantages, they cannot produce enough to meet national demand. The focus should be on making the environment inside enclosed poultry houses healthier, with cleaner litter and all-natural solutions that bolster bird immune system health. Improvements to air and water quality can address both animal welfare and environmental concerns without compromising the efficiency needed to feed millions. Currently, when farmers perform cleanouts, they are redistributing dust—and the diseases it carries—within the poultry house. A more effective solution is sanitization using a mobile dry steam vapor cleaner, which is the standard used in poultry processing facilities, followed by applying biological surface protectants to ensure long-lasting protection. #poultryfarming #poultryindustry #poultryproduction #poultryhealth #broilers #breeders #chicken #chickens #turkey #turkeys #agriculture #regenerativefarming #poultryprobiotics #MAHA #MAGA

Together with Intelia, we are working to help poultry farms operate more efficiently and sustainably by optimizing animal density. By analyzing and adjusting the optimal number of animals per area, we aim to enhance farm productivity, reduce resource consumption, and improve animal welfare. If you're interested in discovering how optimizing animal density can transform poultry farming, we invite you to visit us at our booth 17E05 at EuroTier. See you next week at EuroTier! #PoultryFarming #SustainableAgriculture #AnimalWelfare #FarmEfficiency #SmartFarming #EuroTier2024 #TechInAgriculture #OptimizingDensity #SustainableFarming

Our world faces interconnected challenges: animal welfare, food security, and population growth. The GHAFEED project offers innovative solutions. Did you know? • Global population is projected to reach 9.7 billion by 2050 • 1 in 9 people worldwide are undernourished • Billions of animals suffer in industrial farming systems GHAFEED aims to revolutionize animal feed production, addressing these issues simultaneously. By developing sustainable, high-protein feed alternatives, we can: 1. Reduce pressure on natural habitats 2. Improve farm animal welfare 3. Enhance food security for a growing population Join the conversation: How can we balance animal protection, food production, and population needs? #SustainableAgriculture #AnimalWelfare #FoodSecurity #GHAFEED"

What is the best meat? There is a lot of discussion surrounding this topic, with factors such as marbling trend, breed and carcass weight being considered. In our context, our goal is to raise cows that play a role in the ecosystem by helping us to regenerate Natural cycles. We focus on producing a genetic adapt to our management practices, animals that are 100% grass-fed, grazed, requiring minimal supplements (hay) and without flours, maintaining a balanced stocking rate. All of this is done with the maximum concern for animal welfare. Healthy Soil Healthy 🐮 Healthy 👨🌾 🌍 Orders - @talhodasmanas #integritysoils #regenerativeagriculture #holisticfarms #regenerativefarm
