🌈Supporting transgender students ensures a healthier, happier campus for all. Findings from our 2023/24 Student Support Insight Report suggest that those who identify as transgender (including non-binary) not only need different sorts of support, they need more of it. Building Inclusive Institutions: Negotiating Living Arrangements & Related Policies for Queer, Transgender and Intersex Persons in Higher Education Institutions in India is a two-day virtual conclave by the Office of Inclusive Learning Support at Krea University, the Centre for Writing and Pedagogy at Krea University and CEPT University. The conclave is an attempt to bring together students, administrators, queer/trans/intersex collectives, lawyers, and activists with lived experiences to discuss ongoing needs and negotiations to implement gender-neutral/all-gender infrastructures on campuses. The intent is to arrive at a draft document that articulates these concerns and proposes concrete models that could be adopted and adapted in various institutions.
