It was an honor to present a paper on the vital role of educational institutions in nurturing an environment where AI can thrive, drive economic growth, and address social issues at the NITDA Nigeria Co-create 2day event in Lagos, Nigeria. Integrating AI-related courses into the curriculum equips students with the necessary skills to work in the field of AI. Conducting research in AI can lead to new technologies that drive economic growth and address social issues. Collaborating with industry partners aligns AI programs with industry needs, making students more employable. Most importantly, I talked about an area my team and I at GetBundi has been championing; Indigenizing digital skills training through AI. This can lead to impactful innovations that address local challenges. Educational institutions can play a key role in nurturing an environment where AI can thrive by providing students with the skills and knowledge they need, conducting research that advances the field, and addressing the ethical and social implications of AI. First things first... The Basics are very important for sustainability.

At the last Edtech conference hosted by Startup Abuja, I was asked the most important tool(s) or software schools need to drive advancement in the educational sector, in Nigeria. The host expected me to say AI, point and blank. AI is extremely helpful, extremely! It would be more difficult to do several things without AI, but this is probably the issue a society like ours will encounter. Our society, sadly, is built on consumption than production, and AI tools without well grounded and intellectual people may not be the deliverer we seek. I think we need to go back to the basics. Regulator problems. Instead of just AI tools, can we have a more robust curriculum, that helps us solve first principles? Teacher problems. Can we first solve problems with learning patterns and habits that are unique to us as Nigerians and Africans? Student problems. Can we build solutions that will make us more excited about learning and innovating? What that tech looks like will likely require AI, machine learning, et al, at the end of the day; so yes, AI has a huge role to play in Africa's advancement, but that's mostly in the hands of producers/operators than consumers/students. As an operator in the talent and remote work space, we'd continue to seek ways to build this society through well structured talent development and partnerships. We definitely need more people who can do stuff. Africa's next economic revolution is in their hands, and it starts with fixing education. #education #ai #africa #nigeria

Throwback to the recently held Community AI Workshops! These workshops were made possible through a grant from the Skoll Foundation, received by TEDxLusaka. TEDxLusaka collaborated with BongoHive Technology and Innovation Hub to facilitate workshops across five key sectors: Agriculture, Business, Health, Education, and Law & Governance. The goal was to raise awareness among the Zambian public on the safe and responsible use of AI. The workshops gathered valuable insights from diverse stakeholders on: AI current and potential use cases in Zambia. Common misconceptions, risks, and challenges. Recommendations on how to address misconceptions and mitigate risks. It was enlightening to hear directly from stakeholders about the current realities surrounding AI in Zambia. For example, many stakeholders expressed fear that AI could threaten jobs, while others highlighted real challenges like inadequate infrastructure and the lack of regulatory frameworks, both of which are crucial for accessing and safely using many AI tools. A LETTER TO MY FUTURE SELF. Dear future self, As I write to my future self. First of all I'm glad for this podium been given to me by #3MTT, powered by the Nigeria government to tell us a little about my personality and my ambition. Tho. This is a bit of me because I happened to be a multifaceted being by creation. Spotting from my point of view and with reference to the transmutative knowledge gotten from 3MTT Nigeria government program. I bring to the notice of my inspiring growth and dexterity that have pave my life. This program has really make me to realize the hidden potentials I have failed to acknowledges in the past years and with the Help of AI and machine learning, I have been able to think beyond the box because working in this kind of environment you need be super naturally smart to meet up with the demand of the day. So with this a lone I'm super excited to have utilize this chances. Then, talking about my ambition, I'm pleased to announce to us all that one of the goal is to inspire and affect my generations through creating a sustainable channel of man power which I just ventured into Artificial Intelligence and machine learning with the help of the Nigeria government powered by #3MTT, which I believe in less than no time the world will hear me in the Tech. Industry.
