If there is one thing that an American leftist loves, its ranting and raving about American military aid to Israel. They are absolutely obsessed with the idea that Israel wouldn't exist without American military aid. Even many American Jews have been brainwashed to think the same thing. Just one little problem with that obsession....it couldn't be farther from the truth! Take a look at the article below about TEVA, an Israeli leader in the world of Big Pharma. As the article notes, TEVA has had a rough few years, and is not what it once was. EVEN NOW, the company is valued at $16 billion or FOUR TIMES annual American military aid to Israel (Israel gets about $4 Billion annually) Yes, you read correctly, JUST ONE Israeli publicly traded company DWARFS the annual aid that Israel gets from the US. And yet, everyone, including the US government, seems to operate under the assumption that the US owns Israel in exchange for military aid. We can always expect the left to make up whatever lies they want about Israel. But why are so many Jews under the mistaken impression that $4 billion in military aid is a lot of money to Israel? It's not. Maybe its time for us to embrace the "dirty truth" about Israel. The little country has become a giant in the world of innovative business, and she doesn't need anybody to pay her bills. #Zionism #Zionist #Israel #StandwithIsrael

🌿 The U.S. House of Representatives has taken a significant step forward by voting to prohibit the military from testing recruits for marijuana as a condition of enrollment. 🌱 This decision marks a progressive move towards aligning military recruitment policies with evolving societal views on cannabis. I applaud this decision for its forward-thinking approach and its potential to positively impact military recruitment efforts. By removing barriers related to past marijuana use, we are not only fostering inclusivity but also potentially expanding the pool of qualified candidates who can contribute to our nation's defense. #Military #CannabisReform #Inclusion #PolicyChange #USMilitary #Progress https://lnkd.in/gUtqzrC8

By 🔐 Joseph Steinberg "Often without knowing that such is the case, many millions of people worldwide benefit every day from Israel’s role as an “Innovation Nation;” for years, Israel has placed second only to Silicon Valley as a technology innovator. In recent decades, Israel has been disproportionately successful at developing pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and security technologies that better the lives of people all over. To understand the global significance of Israel’s accomplishments in the pharmaceutical industry, consider that, in 2021, there were nearly $32 billion in global sales of pharmaceutical products based on research performed at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, Israel – and Weizmann is only one of many organizations in Israel that has made significant innovations that deliver a positive impact worldwide. Among the drugs brought to the world by Weizmann research are, for example the multiple sclerosis drug Copaxone, Vectibix to treat metastatic colorectal cancer, Humira to treat moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis, and at least a dozen other popular drugs. Of course, many other drugs and bio-tech products are also Israeli exports; Israel is, for example, at the forefront of defeating cancer, with offerings such as Nano-ghost, developed at Technion in Haifa, that serves as “an innovative technology that enables the focused internal delivery and release of anti-cancer drugs… aimed at preventing side effects of chemotherapy and dramatically enhancing the treatment’s efficacy.” It is not hard to imagine that large numbers of people around the world would have suffered had Israeli-innovated drugs either never been created, or had come to market later than they did. Today, however, it is clear that Hamas’s actions have all but guaranteed that such will be the case with multiple medications that were in development at the time of the October 7th attacks. And the longer than Hamas prolongs its suicidal war with Israel by refusing to release hostages and by promising to commit future “October 7th”s, the more the group harms both new and ongoing R&D efforts that are vital to humanity."

US lawmakers are weighing measures that could limit #FDA review of #clinicaltrialdata from Chinese military hospitals. I had a chance to speak with Sarah Karlin-Smith and The Pink Sheet about what the implications are for the research ecosystem as a whole. While this might have minimal impact on late-stage #drugdevelopment, broader restrictions could disrupt global #clinicaltrials. As China plays an increasingly important role in the clinical trial landscape, excluding Chinese sites could lead to longer enrollment times, higher costs, and slower access to new therapies. Companies are already shifting away from Chinese CDMOs following the proposed Biosecure act, signaling the potential for significant changes in global drug development if these measures expand.

A monumental stride has been taken with this GOP-led congressional committee's recent approval of defense bill amendments that address marijuana and psychedelic research for military service members. This pivotal moment could mark a significant shift in how our veterans access much-needed alternative treatments. For too long, the voices of our veterans struggling for access to cannabis have largely been sidelined in the broader hemp and cannabis conversation. The disheartening stories I've heard from friends like Amber E. Senter, and the relentless advocacy by warriors like Etienne F., underscore a tragic narrative. For decades, advocates have tirelessly worked without seeing any easing of restrictions, often placing veterans in an impossible position: choosing between essential treatment with cannabis and employment opportunities or support from the Veterans Affairs. While it's not a finalized deal yet, it's a critical conversation that needs our collective voice and support. Let's stand together to ensure this bill crosses the finish line. It's about time our policies reflect the needs and respect the sacrifices of our service members. #CannabisReform #VeteransAffairs #LegalizeIt https://lnkd.in/gruV5BDV
