🌍 We’ve Completed Our First STG Review! It has been a year since we began our activities on the EARS project. This project is conducted in collaboration with ten partners from Türkiye, Spain, Portugal, and Belgium as part of the Eureka Network ITEA Call 2021. During this time, we have successfully advanced the project thanks to the valuable contributions of all stakeholders. Recently, we held our first ITEA Steering Group (STG) review, a great opportunity to highlight our progress and strengthen collaboration within our teams. Ready to meet the EBSI Ecosystem? 🤝 In our latest publication, Building Together: Creating Web3 Technology Ecosystems, we reveal insights from a survey conducted with our incubator programme members. These innovators shared their experiences when developing next-gen pilot projects, giving us a snapshot of the EBSI ecosystem’s progress. 🧐 So, who did we hear from? Our survey had a response rate of 79%, giving us the opportunity to speak with representatives from 19 of the current 24 active EBSI pilot projects. Participants spanned 20 EU countries and included 12 universities, 7 private companies, 6 IT providers, 2 public research institutes, 2 university alliances, and 1 government body. Research infrastructures have become crucial for managing complex, costly instruments and driving innovation. Recent developments include the creation of decentralized networks of independent labs and significant investments from the Next Generation EU Plan (PNRR) in Italy. These changes present opportunities and challenges, such as optimizing interactions and managing intellectual property. A Round Table discussion on 10th Semptember at NanoInnovation has been together stakeholders to explore these issues, share best practices, and enhance the integration and efficiency of research infrastructures.
