👀 CAN APPLYING FOR OPPORTUNITIES BE LESS TIME-CONSUMING? 🕑 Yesterday, Júlia Poletine and I were discussing applications for #jobs, part-time and #internship opportunities. We all agree that applying for jobs is a full-time job in itself. It can be incredibly daunting, especially if you consider the extra time you have to dedicate to tailor your CV for that job description. However, looking for ways to make this process easier, we found Teal Resume Builder 1. Teal keeps a record of all job applications, and you can organise them according to each stage you are in the process (application, interview, time to send a follow-up e-mail to that recruiter); 2. It builds a CV puzzle: you can simply check the boxes with your roles/experiences that are more in line with the job and done... it builds a CV for you. 3. It provides a matching analysis between your CV and the role you're applying for. Simply save the job description, click a button, and Teal will analyse that for you. That helps you understand how the AI recruiter that looks at your CVs works. The more you tailor and describe your skills and experiences aligned with the job post, the more points you get! (Yes, it is the gamification of job applications).  4. It uses AI to suggest engaging ways in which you can write down your achievements. Of course, the free version has limitations, so we suggest you use Grammarly's assistant to help you use the language in your favour (keep it short, direct, and persuasive - and use the #STAR framework, please). 🔍 Of course, there are some attention points. Sometimes, some AI suggestions on your bullet points can reflect untrue events. Also, some keywords they suggest highlighting are random (e.g. 'benefits' - the AI took the 'benefits' session on the job posting and suggested I put this word on my CV). As a part of my Internship in Entrepreneurship class, I was assigned an 8-week internship at Bullseye, a platform designed to transform the job hunting process by leveraging AI to provide precision job matching. I want to thank Keren Boiman for this experience and her mentorship thus far. During my college years, I experienced the rise of generative AI and saw its advantages and disadvantages. Before this internship, I had never used AI technology to write my resume or used a professional resume writer. After experiencing this platform and using its AI resume writing tools, I wondered how many other job seekers use AI technology. This article highlights an MIT study that found nearly half of all job seekers leverage AI resumes in their job search, and those who use AI were 8% more likely to get hired. While there are some advantages, the article underscores the mixed reactions from employers towards AI-generated resumes, emphasizing the importance of customization to stand out truly.
