Biomethane in the EU shows a 37% increase in capacity. This shows the direction to follow in Latin America According to Pierre Duvieusart, sponsor of GAS INFRASTRUCTURE EUROPE GIE) and member of the GIE board of directors, biomethane is today's green solution. Gas infrastructure operators celebrate this 37% increase and will continue to promote their development. "The synergies of natural gas and biomethane are invaluable on a technical, economic and political level. This makes this renewable gas suitable for current gas infrastructure and for our customers. With supportive policies and collective efforts, we can help sectors decarbonize quickly and cost-effectively, while avoiding stranded assets.” This shows an invaluable opportunity to develop biogas in Latam, which has broad potential in agriculture.
