As a lifelong learner, I am dedicated to continuously expanding my knowledge and skills across various domains. I recently taught myself how to use complex video editing software and created a Niagara Falls Tourism Niagara Parks Commission video to apply what I have learned during my MBA studies to practical operations. Drawing inspiration from the video linked, I incorporated various marketing principles. First, target audience analysis: I used AI to identify the demographics likely to be interested in Niagara Falls tourism—travel enthusiasts, families, and international tourists—and tailored the video content to appeal to these groups. Second, storytelling and emotional connection: The video narrates an engaging journey, showcasing the natural beauty and vibrant activities around the falls, aiming to evoke excitement and wanderlust, similar to how promotional tourism videos create an emotional connection with viewers by adding some scenarios about single and family activities around Niagara Falls to draw a picture in the tourist mindset of how they can enjoy if they have a tour around Niagara Falls. Third, brand positioning: by emphasizing Niagara Falls as a destination of unparalleled natural beauty and rich experiences, the video aligns with the destination's brand as a must-visit spot in Canada to attract the attention of tourists. Fourth, call-to-action and engagement: I set up language options to encourage viewers to share the video and tag others, leveraging the network effect to amplify reach, a tactic rooted in social media marketing. Last, consumer behaviour insights: Recognizing that visual content greatly influences travel decisions, I chose the comfortable music and introduction from a female sound in the video to focus on high-quality visuals, music as background and experiences that resonate with travellers’ aspirations. These strategies proved effective, as evidenced by the significant attention and shares the video received within my social media network of WeChat Moment. Then, I uploaded this video with an English introduction to my YouTube channel to get the data for further analysis. This project highlighted the power of integrating marketing concepts with creative content creation, especially in a digital-first, AI-driven, and consumer-centric marketing landscape. If it's too easy, then I don't want it. Signing up for a Product PR course by Tech PR School was a wild decision, considering that one out of the five weeks of studying I was in Cologne, assisting my team at Zukunft Personal Europe (it was our first time at the expo; the expo had over 20k visitors). But some things feel too important to miss. I had strong FOMO every time I saw the course begin and was still too afraid to participate. Too many 'what ifs.' I didn't expect the course to be THAT challenging, and it's awesome. I do like being the dumbest in the room. Even if it's a room for one. I don't enjoy the feeling of 'Oh, I know this soooo well and am bored' (never happened with PR & Comms, lol). Sleepless nights, days full of questions and thoughts, an ocean of new inputs and impulses, an amazing community, and very supportive and encouraging Julia Petryk. Many missed deadlines. Mistakes (neither am I perfect nor have I ever wanted to be). I had to take my time to think. A lot of responsibility. Decisions made. The to-read list? Enriched. Final project ready. Feeling way more confident. Grateful for opportunities like this. And proud to experience a high-quality Ukrainian ed-product that's available in English. You should try it too! Stay curious. I became an advertisement nerd 📽️ It started slow—one ad, then another, and soon enough, I was hooked. Now, I've got a collection that would make Mad Men proud. I'll share some of my favorites with you. Regularly. Here's one from Newslab, Oslo. It's for Norway tourism. This one is a masterpiece. By the end, you'll be thinking, "That's how I want my city to be," even if the narrator feels otherwise. It's beautifully crafted. #oslo #marketing #norway #advertisements

What does a press officer actually spend their time doing at the tracks...? It varies greatly from team to team, and largely depends on budget and available resources, but tasks may well include: 🎤 Media relations - organising interviews and photo/video shoots with international press 🗓 Scheduling of rider/team activities and events 👩🏼🤝👨🏽 Accompanying riders to all media events and fan/sponsor/championship initiatives 🗣 Translation/interpretation for riders (language knowledge depending) 📝 Writing and distribution of press releases (potentially in more than one language) ⚠️ Crisis comms in case of controversy/ incident 🙋🏼♀️ Coordinating fan/sponsor/VIP initiatives, such as meet&greets with the riders, competitions, dinners, garage tours, etc. 📸 Social media and website management - increasingly important, so if a press officer brings photography and/or videography skills to the table then they'll likely be asked to use them! Not to mention coordination of the many activities that take place outside of race weekends, and myriad other tasks depending on a press officer's skillset and role 'back at base'. It's fair to say no two days are ever quite the same! Here's a real throwback pic of me collecting 2009 Ducati rider Noriyuki Haga's comments for the press release. Must have been a positive day on track, judging by the smile!
