"It might be something that provides the value," I read. "...but it is nothing that provides the utility." How can "nothing" be useful? It sounds like a riddle. Inundated with content and information in our digital spaces, the answer is quite clear. Nothing is beautiful. Nothing is rare. Nothing is productive. The skill of seeking and protecting negative space (emptiness, nothingness) will be critical to develop if we want our humanity to shine through from under technology's black-out curtain. (Quotes from Dao De Jing, ch. 11, Translated by Roger Ames & David L. Hall)

Great challenge! However it leaves out a critical truth. Every quantum solution can be used to create weaponry and environmental destruction. Depending on the heart and mind of the creator or user. And without transforming humanities national and international governance systems to prioritize the protection of human rights and nature above the protection of governments, violent extremist groups, and an unjust global economic system - the capacity for the weaponization of anything and the continued ecocide of earth's life support system will be far easier, cheaper, and powerful than most solutions the much of humanity urgently needs. We must learn to abide by "the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God" (the golden rule) if our species is to survive and thrive beyond our current state of growing chaos.

A well-researched, illustrated and insightful piece by the FT. The dawn of a new reality in the regulation of global satellite spectrum. Both the scarcest of resources, & the lifeblood of our industry, it is the epicenter of vexing trade-offs. How do we evolve regulation to keep pace with rapid technological change? How do we adhere to agreed international rule-making but still foster competition? And is it truly competition if it leads to a critical dependency on just two - incredibly powerful - firms? Even though there are no easy answers, the complexity of the issues, the nuance of the arguments, and their immense global impact are what makes our industry so special, and what makes our spectrum and regulatory 'Gurus' even more special ! Digital Twins and Cultural Heritage Preservation: A Case Study of Best Practices and Reproducibility "Even with advances in user-friendly and commercially available technologies, digital art history and the digital humanities are in a race against time to train and equip enough individuals onsite to create digital twins before more irreplaceable cultural artifacts and sites are lost to natural disasters, accelerated by climate change, or through armed conflict.
