I've earned my SHRM-SCP credential, a significant milestone in my HR career. However, this achievement comes with mixed emotions. Just as I passed the exam, SHRM announced its decision to remove Equity from its DEI framework. This decision has sparked debate within the HR community, as many (myself included) believe that without equity, inclusion efforts can fall short and risk being superficial. As someone committed to meaningful DEI initiatives, I stand by the belief that true inclusion must be accompanied by equity. This sentiment is shared by many in our profession, highlighting the ongoing need for awareness and action on these critical issues. #SHRMSCP #DEI #EquityInclusion #HR
