In their instructions to LPC, Government ask that they make an interim recommendation for a NMW rate to apply to 18 to 20-year-olds from April 2025, narrowing the gap with the National Living Wage. The Government goes on to say that they will take steps year by year in order to achieve a single adult rate. NITA & AHL Amendmemts: During filing of PAYE amendment returns which had NITA levy or Affordable Housing Levy (AHL) which was declared and paid, kindly do not claim the NITA Levy or AHL PRNs as they are agency revenues. The incremental liability in the PAYE return will be inclusive of PAYE, NITA Levy and AHL Liability where applicable but system will be able to ascertain that NITA and AHL are fully paid unless the amendment has increased their respective liabilities hence employer should pay the variance. Jemery Hunt, Chancellor of the Exchequer delivered the government’s budget on 6 March 2024. Did you know that your AFSCME union contract gives you an extra 8 hours of personal leave during Leap Years? Article 11, Section 3 of our contract with the State for Units A, B, C, D, F, and H says: "Except during a Leap Year, employees shall be entitled to six (6) days of personal leave each calendar year except that the Department of Transportation employees shall be entitled to seven (7) days of personal leave. During a Leap Year, SPMS employees shall be provided with seven (7) days and MDOT employees with eight (8) days."
