Edwards White Architects Ltd’s Post

It's been incredible to see both the new Te Ara Pekapeka bridge and the Taurapa pedestrian bridge being embraced by the community since their recent opening. Being part of a project of this scale has been a rewarding experience, and seeing it come to life is a proud moment for our team.  . Te Ara Pekapeka stands strong on the eastern bank, a single pier carrying the impressive weight of 3000 tonnes of steel as it gracefully spans the Waikato River. Reflecting the woven strands of Kete and the fertile land surrounding it, the intricate latticework of the support pier creates a network that elegantly balances strength and finesse. . What's the life span of this structure compared to one with corrosion protection? Genuine question, I'm interested in rust 😀

Great work congrats to the whole team
