Embrace Menstrual Dignity Let’s talk about menstruation with the respect and dignity it deserves! Embracing menstrual dignity means recognizing that everyone who menstruates should be able to do so without shame, stigma, or barriers. What is Menstrual Dignity? Menstrual dignity involves ensuring access to menstrual products, education, and a supportive environment where menstruation is treated as a natural and respected part of life. Why It Matters: Respect and Equality: Every individual deserves to manage their period with dignity and respect. It’s a fundamental human right. Health and Empowerment: Access to menstrual products and education promotes better health and empowers people to make informed choices. Breaking Taboos: Open conversations about menstruation help dismantle harmful taboos and myths, fostering a more inclusive and understanding society. How We Can Embrace Menstrual Dignity: Normalize the Conversation: Talk openly about menstruation to break the silence and stigma. Support Inclusive Practices: Use language and advocate for policies that respect all menstruators, including women, girls, trans men, and non-binary individuals. Promote Access: Support initiatives that provide menstrual products to those in need and advocate for menstrual health education. Get Involved: Donate Together, we can create a world where menstruation is met with understanding, support, and dignity. Let’s make a change! Government of British Columbia has officially declared May 28 as Menstrual Health Day as of today! 🎉 What an amazing step towards menstrual equity in our province. #MHDay is a global advocacy awareness day to create a world where no one is held back because they menstruate. Poor menstrual health caused by persisting taboos and stigma, limited access to menstrual products and poor sanitation infrastructure undermines the educational opportunities, health and overall social status of women, girls, Trans and non-binary people around the world, and right here in BC as well. A local Period Promise public survey respondent feels discouraged by the ongoing stigma and the excessive costs. “It's so frustrating that resources that could possibly help me with this are crazy expensive and it makes it feel like living through your period and being comfortable is somehow a privilege, when it should be a right.” United Way BC is committed to improving access to period products. There’s still time to donate to our Period Promise campaign! www.uwbc.ca/periodpromise #UnitedWayBC #PeriodPoverty #PeriodPromise #MHDay #PeriodFriendlyWorld

We’re inviting you to join Plan International USA's youth-led campaign against period poverty and menstrual stigma, It’s Bloody Normal. Every month, millions of girls bleed. During our webinar, we’ll share our stories and frustrations and equip you with resources to host a period talk in your own community. You’ll join like-minded advocates to talk about period stigma and the steps you can take to bring this campaign to your own community. Periods are bloody normal, so why not talk about it? 💥 redefining cycles, rewriting narratives with reDot 💥 i’m beyond excited to introduce my ngo, reDot, a bold step toward smashing menstrual stigma and championing menstrual health. 🚺✨ our vision? a world where talking about periods is as normal as talking about the weather—and access to menstrual hygiene isn’t a privilege but a right. 💡 what we’re doing: educating: running interactive workshops in schools to normalize conversations around menstruation. empowering: providing menstrual products to underserved communities to ensure no one is left behind. advocating: promoting menstrual equity and sustainable practices to drive systemic change. 🌍 how you can join the movement: connect us with schools or communities ready to embrace this change. partner with us for product distribution or awareness drives. it’s time we turned whispers into voices, discomfort into pride, and inaction into empowerment. together, we can make it happen. #reDot #menstrualhealth #ngo #menstrualawareness #periodpride #socialimpact #empowerment #breakthestigma

The largest collection of data on menstruation in the world! This is amazing Share the Dignity Australia 🙌💃🏽 What do we do with this info though? What’s the point you might ask?! Awareness is the first step for change, what is actually going on for people with periods out there? With this information we are able to see the gaps in health that need support, education, product development and aid. It is so so exciting that these conversations are now even had in parliament, because data like this informs policy makers to better care for the nation! We alllll know someone with a period, it’s time to open the conversation and see if changes can be made to improve the health and well being for all menstruators out there 🔥💫🤗 What can you do practically right now? This month, every Woolworths has a pink ‘Share the Diginity’ bin, where you can purchase period products and donate them to close the gap on period poverty! 1-5 menstruators can’t afford or access period care. So you can really make a difference to someone’s life here! 💗
Hey Zomi on Instagram: "Check out some of the shocking statistics coming in from @sharethedignityaustralia in this years ‘biggest bloody survey’ 🩸- the world’s largest collection of data on menstruation 🙌 Such power in knowledge because now we can understand all the gaps across society where support for menstrual health is just lacking. The conversation and awareness can assert accountability an
