EERA CCS: The European Energy Research Alliance's Joint Programme on Carbon Capture & Storage’s Post

🌍We're excited to be at the forefront of the upcoming SET Plan IWG9 Working Group meetings on CO2 capture, actively shaping the target goals and R&I actions of the SET Plan. We're proud to have our experts lead key areas: Marie Bysveen on CO2 capture, Jonathan P. on CO2 storage, together with Lamberto Eldering (Equinor) on full-scale projects, and Anastasios Perimenis (CO2 Value Europe) on CO2 use. Today we had the first of these meetings (CO2 Capture, led by Marie Bysveen), an important venue for coordinating national R&I efforts on CO2 capture. The SET Plan established 10 priority actions, covering a wide range of technologies, including one focused on carbon capture and storage (CCS) and carbon capture and utilisation (CCU) (action 9). Each priority action has developed an Implementation Plan which outlines clear targets, alongside the Research and Innovation (R&I) activities needed to achieve them. The progress of the Implementation Plans is monitored by Implementation Working Groups (IWG) and the IWG9 focuses on CCS/CCU.
