BEST PRACTICE example for Mission 1 from Centrum vedecko-technických informácií SR (CVTI SR) 🇸🇰🌳 We will gradually introduce not only our partners but also examples of best practices from them. Centrum vedecko-technických informácií SR (CVTI SR) has already been introduced as the lead partner, and here is an example of a best practice for Mission 1 ⬇️ Revitalization of the Orchards in Lučenec, is a project aimed at creating a new community space with positive impacts on the local ecosystem and climate 🌱. The goal is to establish a Municipal Orchard in an urban area on an old vineyard hill, where local residents can enjoy a healthy, green environment! The project includes planting diverse fruit trees, including local species from the Novohrad region, creating a public demonstration orchard. This space will serve as a practical example of nature-based solutions to address climate change. Key initiatives include expanding green spaces, planting indigenous species, capturing rainwater, and promoting sustainable resource use. Benefits of the project include offering a new green space for leisure, environmental education, and community activities to promote a healthy lifestyle and greater awareness of environmental challenges. 🌍 🌱 Happy World Cities Day! As we close out Urban October, we're celebrating innovative solutions that bring green spaces back to densely-populated urban areas, where climate effects are more pronounced and where greening can offer some of the strongest benefits. Through small, carefully designed green infrastructure that fits the unique needs of each area, we're proving that green coverage is possible—even in the hardest-to-green spaces. Together with community partners, we’re working to make the densest neighbourhoods more resilient, healthier, and sustainable 🌿 #WorldCitiesDay #GreenDense #UrbanGreening #ClimateResilience #SustainableCities #GreenInfrastructure #ClimateAdaptation #UrbanGreening #SustainableCities #GreenDense Gemeente Dordrecht STIPO Delft University of Technology Stad Mechelen Het Vogelnest Brest Métropole Plante & Cité Cork City Council - Comhairle Cathrach Chorcaí Freie Hansestadt Bremen Stad Brugge Interreg North-West Europe (NWE)

Charting a Sustainable Course: Midweek Reflections 🌊🚢 As I posed for my photo at the helm of the Stad Amsterdam, the very act felt symbolic of the greater journey we're embarking on in San Francisco. I was reminded of our city's path towards a sustainable future—a future where innovation help protect and cleanses our waterways and circular economies thrive ♻️. In recent days, I've had the honor of representing San Francisco in different discussions aboard this magnificent vessel. I spoke on the expansion of new policies, technologies and innovation to rejuvenate and protect our precious waterways and engaged with the Dutch government and local business partners to learn and share how we jointly advance best practices for a circular economy in our built environment 🤝🌐. These conversations are more than exchanges of ideas; they are initiating necessary ripples of worldwide action. They signify our city's unwavering commitment to environmental leadership and the collaboration that will be needed to execute on a global scale 🌍. As we navigate towards these ambitious and important goals, I feel so fortunate to be part of a growing coalition steering us towards a greener tomorrow 🍃. I remain optimistic for the future and plan to update you on as we set sail together on this vital voyage. 🌱⚓️ #SustainableFuture #CircularEconomy #CleanWaterways #EcoInnovation #sanfrancisco #Climateaction Netherlands Jan

Implementing a soil improvement solution for water conservation through the golf course irrigation system is a game changer. We now start monitoring how much irrigation can be cut back while retaining soil moisture levels for optimal turf health and perfect playing surfaces. It will also be interesting to determine if our liquid mineral formula can improve capillarity on the turf surface, avoiding the hydrophobic layer that courses combat by spraying wetting agents/surfactants 1-2 times per month. A one-time application lasting 3-5 years can represent operational savings and environmental benefits extending beyond water conservation.
We're thrilled to share our latest project at Coyote Wash, where we're making strides in golf course restoration and water conservation! 💧🏌️♂️ Discover how our mineral turf solutions are transforming dry, sustainable golf courses, preserving precious water resources, and promoting environmental sustainability. 🌍 Check out our new video to see the impact we're making. 🎥👇
