This will make it the largest solar farm in West Flanders and play a key role in reducing the airport’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 30% by 2030. 🔋 Innovation in Energy Storage Equipped with advanced battery systems, the project will ensure uninterrupted access to renewable energy—even on cloudy days—providing Ostend residents with consistent green electricity. 👥 Empowering Local Communities Through a participatory investment platform, residents of Ostend can co-invest in the project and benefit from attractive returns. This initiative not only democratizes access to renewable energy but also fosters community engagement in the region’s energy transition.
