Yesterday I had the opportunity to participating on behalf of mama health at the "Net-Health: Sanità in rete 2030" event, which took place on May 7th, 2024, at the stunning Palazzo Giustiniani in Rome. This event, now celebrating its second year, gathered leading minds to share ideas, technical know-how, and visionary insights aimed at sculpting the future of healthcare policies. Here's what stood out: 1. The undeniable power of multidisciplinary teams spanning every therapeutic field – a game changer! 2. A fresh look at new technologies, not just for their innovation but for their real impact on health outcomes and how efficiently they use resources. 3. The exciting potential of digitalization and data reuse, all aimed at serving the public good. At mama health, the insights from this event have reinforced our commitment to revolutionizing patient care. By integrating Generative AI and Process Mining, we are mapping patient journeys across different conditions, offering a comprehensive view of their healthcare experiences. This is how we're contributing to a more effective and patient-focused healthcare system. I am immensely proud of mama health's role in this transformation. Building on top of experiences obtained in Europe; OHDSI (Observational Health Data Sciences & Informatics) has brought a lot of value in Europe over the last 6 years. OHDSI pronounced as “Odyssey” 🙂. Through IMI_EHDEN, (ehden.eu) hospitals and other patient data owners have been able to make hundreds of millions of patients records research ready. Through anonymisation and the ability to run research algorithms over OHDSI OMOP compliant Common Data Model databases. Kick started with EU Horizon program funding. Other interesting ongoing projects include #Darwin_eu.org for generating evidence from real world databases across the EU. (Peter R., Erasmus MC) Critical within that is how data privacy, ownership and control for European citizens is being managed. (Health.ec.europa.eu) It’s a very important prerequisite. It will be great to learn more and interact with Dipak Kalra at the OHDSI India Chapter first symposium on October 5th at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. Yes, OHDSI folks put in the heart, the soul, the commitment, and the efforts in the weekend. It shows the spirit of this global community working relentlessly for better health and better care thus better patient outcome.
