Looking forward to sharing my two cents next Thursday in this timely debate organized by euroconsumers. I will do it keeping this clear in my mind: - One in three citizens from our recent survey said they trust the EU more than their national governments. - 69% believe Member States should prioritize European unity over national interests. - 79.9% agree that EU decisions must consider their impact on future generations. To enhance our global competitiveness, we do need an effective European industrial policy that fosters innovation, but absolutely without compromising consumer rights or market integrity.
Next Thursday, we're back with another #StartTalking webinar! 🌟 Our incredible panel will dive into Europe's pivotal moment. How we handle competition and the internal market now will shape the EU's future and its citizens' lives. Join us as we discuss amongst other things the Letta report, "Much More Than a Market." We'll break down what's being proposed to boost Europe's resilience and what it all means for you, the consumer. 💠 Marco Pierani - Director Public Affairs & Media Relations, Euroconsumers 💠Stefano da Empoli - President, I-Com, the Institute for Competitiveness 💠Dr. Kim Watts - Senior Policy Manager, American Chamber of Commerce to the European Union (AmCham EU) 💠Erik Berggren, Senior Adviser, Legal and Economics Department, BusinessEurope 💠Moderated by Liz Coll Make sure to join us by clicking ‘attending’ here ➡ https://lnkd.in/eUY4Yzif

I believe we are just not ready to learn from the destruction happening because of environmental disasters... and still we want to invent some or other thing and now technology is getting inside the oceans believing the oceans were not disturbed till now..... how much problems we are inviting is immeasurable. However, one of the advantages of having technology inside is that we would be alarmed if there is any disaster predicted and our (EOC) emergency command centres will be on proactive mode and not reactive mode. Many other benefits but cannot ignore many other triggers to the disaster as well.

💬 Publyon EU is right where the buzz is, and this week we’re bubbling around at the POLITICO Europe Competitive EU Week! Today, I had the opportunity to attend two thought-provoking panel discussions focused on 1) Europe's quest for competitiveness, and 2) investment needs to boost Europe’s clean tech industry. Key takeaways from the panels: 1. The EU faces a widening productivity gap compared to other world regions that need to be addressed and corrected. 2. The EU has demonstrated great abilities in regulating all relevant business sectors, including in the digital field. Now these regulations have to be implemented, and it’s up to the institutions and Member States to avoid imposing burdens that will make Europe fall behind other global actors. 3. Panellists point out a stronger internal market, a Banking and Capital Markets Union, and a new-found private-public partnership as key elements that need to be tackled to secure the competitiveness of the European Union. 4. The Green Deal and decarbonisation are already strengthening EU competitiveness, as the green transition is now a priority in most regions of the world. The more the EU can be at the forefront of green and sustainable transition, the more competitive it is. Thanks to POLITICO for the interesting discussions, and I look forward to joining tomorrow’s panels focusing on setting up the EU financial agenda for the next five years. If you are joining as well, let’s meet up! #Publyon #Bubbling #POLITICOCompetitiveWeek
