When did we decide that convenience is more important than the connection we have with our food? 🌱
Food has always been about 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. It’s meant to bring us together—around a table, in the kitchen, shared with loved ones.
Yet, everywhere I look, the process of creating food is being handed over to machines in sterile, cold environments. 𝗪𝗲'𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗯𝗲 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱.
Why are we treating food like it’s something to be produced in a lab, not enjoyed in real life? Shouldn't the harvest and the table be closer together?
We need to rethink how we view food production. It’s not just about efficiency or perfection.
It’s about the experience & the connection:
🌍 To the land
👨🌾 To the people who grow our food
👪 To each other
Technology has its place, but when we focus too much on sterile, hands-off processes, we lose the human element that makes food so meaningful.
Let’s stop pushing food into cold, sterile spaces and start bringing it back to where it belongs: shared among family and friends.
We should be celebrating food for what it truly is—a communal experience, not just a product.
What do you think? Are we sacrificing too much in the name of “progress”?
How can we bring the harvest and the table closer together?
