Boundaries create focus. When you know where to stop, you can perfect your execution. This drill perfects your ability to stop the ball just right. Goal: Master speed control for mid-range putts. How to do it: 1️⃣ Position a tee at [10ft, 15ft, 20ft]. 2️⃣ Place an alignment stick just past the hole at 10% of the total distance. (Example: For a 20ft putt, the stick is 2ft behind the hole.) 3️⃣ Hit 30 balls, stopping each past the hole but short of the stick. 4️⃣ Repeat the sequence at the next distance. Why it works: ✅ Refines control over speed and distance. ✅ Reduces 3-putts by improving lag putt accuracy. ✅ Builds trust in your stroke for tight placements. Why Tour Players Use It: On fast tournament greens, distance control is the difference between birdies and bogeys. This drill mimics the exact precision needed for tricky lag putts, helping pros limit mistakes and capitalize on opportunities. Pro Tips: Focus on tempo and rhythm—speed comes naturally when you strike consistently. Visualize the ideal stopping zone as you approach each putt. Golf isn’t about how hard you hit; it’s about how smartly you execute. Click the link for full drill 👇 https://lnkd.in/gA6aRWFb #golf #golfdrills #pga #pgatour #golfpractice

⛳️ DRILL OF THE WEEK ⛳️ - The Width Of Arc Drill Do you struggle over-swinging, face to path issues or topping the ball alot ?🤔 The Width Of Arc Drill is for you.👇🏻 The drill concept is to widen your swing arc (distance between your swing center & your hands) to allow the arms to extend in the backswing, through impact & post impact to optimise middled strikes, club face stability & maximising centrifugal force for quicker club head speed. This drill is great for the golfer who over-swings, tops shots, thins shots & has trouble with club face stability at impact. The process is to place a long tee a foot ahead of your ball in-between your target & the golf ball you intend to hit. Next place another golf ball a foot behind the ball you intend to hit. Finally during your takeaway in the backswing try to push the spare ball away from the target (keeping the club head as low to the ground as possible) by keeping your arms extended & maintaining that extension through impact until your club head has clipped the top of the tee peg past your ball to optimise your width of arc radius. If you LIKED this video & you want to get more detail or information then please go to my YouTube page & watch the full video. Otherwise please send me a DM if you have an enquiry about the clip.

Want to sink more birdies? Start by creating birdie opportunities. The Greens in Regulation Drill simulates real-game scenarios and teaches you to deliver under pressure. How it works: 1️⃣ Place 6 balls on the green. Half inside a 12ft radius (shorter birdie chances). Half between 12ft and 30ft (longer chances). 2️⃣ Putt each ball and count strokes relative to PAR (PAR 2 per hole). 3️⃣ Increase the challenge: Move to 8 GIR (8 balls). Then 10, 12, and 14 GIR. Why this drill is powerful: ✅ Simulates match-like birdie opportunities. ✅ Sharpens focus under pressure. ✅ Improves both short and mid-range putting skills. Golf tip: Treat every putt like it matters. Visualize the ball’s path into the hole before stepping into the stroke. The lesson? Great scores happen when you put yourself in position to succeed. Reading short putts requires attention to detail and a good understanding of the green's slope and grain. Here are some techniques: 1. Read the Break: Crouch down behind the ball to see the line. Pay close attention to any slopes or breaks in the green that could affect the ball's path. 2. Grain Awareness: Be aware of the direction of the grain on the green. Grain can influence the speed and direction of the putt, especially on shorter putts. 3. Visualize the Path: Imagine the ball rolling along the intended line to the hole. This visualization can help you anticipate any deviations and adjust your aim accordingly. 4. Feel the Speed: Short putts require a delicate touch. Practice gauging the speed needed to roll the ball into the hole without overshooting or coming up short. 5. Consistency: Develop a consistent putting routine for short putts. This can help build confidence and reduce the likelihood of making errors under pressure. 6. Stay Relaxed: Tension in your body can affect your putting stroke. Stay relaxed and maintain a smooth, controlled stroke to improve your accuracy on short putts. Visit halfcupputting.com to learn more! practice small, PLAY BIG! Ever feel like the golf course is working against you? Trees in the way? Wind pushing your ball? Don’t worry—learning how to control your ball can fix that. This drill helps you practice fades (balls curving left to right) and draws (balls curving right to left). It’s a simple way to shape your shots so you can play smarter. Goal: Learn how to curve the ball on purpose using your long irons. How to do it: 1️⃣ Pick a target on the range, like a flag or a marker. 2️⃣ Grab your 2, 3, or 4 iron. These are great for shaping shots. 3️⃣ Hit 25 balls with a fade: • Aim your body left of the target. • Open the clubface a little. • Swing along your body line. The ball should curve left to right. 4️⃣ Next, hit 25 balls with a draw: • Aim your body right of the target. • Close the clubface a little. • Swing along your body line. The ball should curve right to left. Why it works: ✅ You’ll learn to control where the ball goes. ✅ You’ll be ready for tricky holes, like doglegs or windy conditions. ✅ It builds confidence when you know you can shape your shot. Here’s why this matters: Pro golfers do this all the time. They don’t just hit the ball straight—they make it curve around trees or land in just the right spot on the green. You don’t have to be a pro to practice like one. Tips: • Don’t try to hit too hard. Focus on smooth, controlled swings. • Watch the ball closely to see how it curves, then adjust if needed. • Imagine the path you want the ball to take before you swing. Learning to shape your shots is like learning how to draw or paint—you get to create something unique with every swing. And when you can control the ball, the course feels easier to handle. Give it a shot. You’ll feel like a pro the next time you curve the ball just right. The side plank isn't just about core strength – it's your secret weapon for mastering rotational power and control on the green. Mimicking the twisting motion of the golf swing, the side plank trains your body to generate and control rotational forces through your core, enhancing your ability to execute every swing with precision. Strengthening your core and improving stability with side planks can be a game-changer for preventing lower back injuries. By reducing strain on the lower back during the swing, you lower the risk of overuse injuries and keep your game strong. Integrating side planks into your routine can elevate your golf performance to new heights! #golfperformance #corestrength #injuryprevention #fitnessjourney #sideplank #performanceabove
