From Ofcom: “The new Code of Practice published today includes amendments to the 2017 Code of Practice, as well as the addition of new elements in line with updates to the Electronic Communications Code. A key new addition is the inclusion of text on the process for resolving disputes that may arise between Operators and Site Providers and specifically, best practice in relation to Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) procedures. This text is intended to facilitate the effective resolution of disputes that arise and ensure telecommunications equipment is deployed as quickly and as smoothly as possible.” Links to Ofcom Statement and revised Code of Practice all attached

What is RAY BAUM'S Act? RAY BAUM'S Act is a piece of U.S. legislation aimed at improving telecommunications services and infrastructure. One of the main goals of Ray Baum's Act is to enhance emergency communications. It requires that dispatchable location information be provided for 911 calls, which means ensuring that the caller's precise location is transmitted to emergency services, improving response times and effectiveness. (Note: 911ComplyPoint's audit and testing process helps organizations identify the best possible location data to transmit to emergency service centers). The Act is named in honor of Ray Baum, a long-time staff member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, who was instrumental in shaping telecommunications policy in the United States. It was signed into law as part of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2018. RAY BAUM'S Act is also known as the Repack Airwaves Yielding Better Access for Users of Modern Services Act of 2018 (We like RAY BAUM'S Act a little better! 🙂) #e911
