We’ve signed additional power purchase agreements (PPAs) for more than 1.5 gigawatts (GW) of clean energy capacity in North America and Europe — bringing us closer to our 2030 goal of running on 24/7 carbon-free energy (CFE) on every grid where we operate. Check out the recent blog article with more details. Or if you want to dig into this topic even more, then check out our Environmental Report of 2023 via https://lnkd.in/eR-Qdiud

It’s no secret that voluntary corporate procurement is essential to the clean energy transition. At the close of 2023, a remarkable 77 GW of new utility-scale clean energy procurement deals were announced in in the U.S. – more than the combined totals of clean energy capacity of Texas and California. Throughout the first half of 2024, U.S. corporates continued to lead the way, building on key trends of the previous year: innovation in procurement, growth through partnership, and a focus on material impact. The momentum hasn’t slowed, with clean energy projects being unveiled throughout H1 2024. Stay tuned for CEBA's H1 2024 Deal Tracker update, where we’ll dive into the challenges faced and the promising opportunities that lie ahead for the remainder of the year. In the meantime, explore the current Deal Tracker here: https://lnkd.in/eEbc2FpG

#itstimetobackbatteries - who doesnt like cheaper energy bills, greater control of their solar pv generation and use through storage; and $190m system wide benefits? Last year was setting a direction for large scale renewable generation and storage through expanded CIS and supporting the build out of transmission, this year #itstimetobackbatteries
Today, we are launching a campaign calling for a national Home Battery Saver Program to help tackle the cost-of-living crisis, contribute to renewable energy targets and support the 15,000+ Australians working in the rooftop solar and storage industry. A national Home Battery Saver Program would offer Australian households and small businesses incentives to purchase home batteries and participate in orchestrated services. We have compiled an industry briefing showing that a national Home Battery Saver Program can: 💲 slash energy bills for battery owners by $1,150+/year 🎯 help meet Australia’s 82% renewable energy target by adding over 400,000 additional batteries to the network 📉 reduce the payback period for a home battery by 36% by 2030 ⚡ strengthen the energy network and provide net benefits to all energy customers of $190m It’s time to back home batteries.
