Same Page Meetings are critical, especially in my partnership with Kelly Knight, to ensure the leadership is fully aligned for the benefit of the company, its culture, and its people. The idea is to meet monthly for a few hours to reconnect, solve outstanding issues, share frustrations, and express concerns. While these meetings can sometimes be intense, their purpose is to clear the air and resolve issues, ensuring everyone is moving forward together and on the same page. A big thank you to everyone who joined our ‘Beyond Borders’ webinar, where our director Dr Kate Simpson joined forces with The Diversity Practice Ltd Director, Carol Campayne to demonstrate how to break down barriers and drive forward DEI in your organisation. An hour couldn't be enough for the eye-opening session! Dr Kate Simpson and Carol Campayne shared their respective experience on the Wasafiri Systemcraft methodology and the Borderless approach and we had the pleasure of engaging the participants in thought-provoking questions and insights from varying contexts. Among the themes we explored in the session were: 💡 How we consciously and unconsciously collude with the 'system' (whether our team, organisation, or the context it operates within), and who that system is working for   💡 Ways in which resistance shows up - within your own leadership, your network, and your wider organisation - and how to lean into it. A lot of self introspection emerged in this particular theme. 💡 How to overcome the tensions that can arise between different parts of an organisation to focus EDI efforts   💡 The importance of self-care and kindness to others as integral to this work, because bringing about real, systemic change isn’t easy. This week (21), we had the honor of being represented by our CEO, Emmanuel Orillard, and our Head of Growth & Strategy (U.S.), Roberto Machado, at an exclusive leadership event hosted by the Experience Club US in Florida.
