Hola Technocrats!!! Have you ever wondered how your phone knows when its case is closed, or how a brushless motor in your drone spins so smoothly? The answer might surprise you: it's all thanks to a tiny sensor called the Hall effect sensor. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐭? The Hall effect sensor is a fascinating piece of technology that uses a principle called the Hall effect. When a magnetic field is applied to a conductor with current flowing through it, a voltage is created at right angles to both the current and the magnetic field. This voltage, known as the Hall voltage, is proportional to the strength of the magnetic field. So, the next time you interact with a device that uses magnets or senses position and movement, remember the silent hero behind the scenes: the Hall effect sensor, a testament to the ingenuity of human innovation. ----------------------------------------------------------- Share with your friends if you're an electronic enthusiast!! Do you need to detect the presence of objects in your application over a long distance and output the measured values via IO-Link? The ODT3CL1-2M from Leuze UK is a diffuse sensor with background suppression and achieves an operating range of two meters thanks to time-of-flight technology. This saves you time and money during procurement, installation and commissioning as well as during operation. The two independently adjustable switching points enable shuttles in #intralogistics, for example, to optimally adjust and vary their speed in order to quickly transport goods to the target position.
