I am delighted to share that I recently completed a five-day workshop on "Leadership and Management Skills for Professionals" offered by AHK National Centre for Rural Development in Islamabad. This enriching experience has broadened my perspective on what it means to be a leader. The workshop explored thought-provoking questions such as: Who can be a leader? Are leaders born or made? Where can leadership be applied, and whom can we lead? " I have come to believe that everyone is a leader, a leader of their self. Understanding and leading yourself is the first step toward effective leadership. By mastering self-leadership, we can inspire and guide others more effectively. I had the incredible opportunity to lead this session on 𝐄𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 with the senior marketing team of FFC Lahore. And I must say that guiding this group through the journey of building stronger, more empathetic connections was truly fulfilling. Here are some key learning takeaways we explored together: ✅ 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩: We uncovered how empathy enhances leadership impact by creating meaningful connections, fostering trust, and empowering teams to thrive. ✅ 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞-𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 & 𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐬: Participants actively engaged in hands-on exercises, stepping into each other’s roles to develop deeper understanding and compassion. ✅ 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐟-𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 & 𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Through structured assessments, everyone had the chance to identify strengths, uncover growth areas, and reflect on their own leadership styles. ✅ 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦-𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬: These exercises reinforced unity and a shared vision, setting the foundation for cohesive teamwork and mutual support.
