Hustle culture and working 24/7 isn’t for me. Here’s why. Although it’s important to make the most of every single day. I find myself lying in on Sundays to take it easy and have a slower start. Because I’ve come to appreciate the importance of rewarding myself every once in a while. And this is heavily underlooked in the entrepreneurship space. Where taking time to rest is seen as “not wanting it enough”. Making people feel bad for detaching from work. So here’s the 3 ways I’ve detached from work: 1 → Going for regular walks Going for walks has massively helped me detach from work and give myself time to appreciate what I have. 2 → Staying physically fit The gym has been my favorite way to relieve stress and build my confidence throughout my busy days. 3 → Staying in contact with friends Building a business can be isolating sometimes so I’ve made it a priority to contact those close to me. Are you for or against hustle culture?
I believe you get out what you put in. It’s why Kobe Bryant was the first in the gym everyday and last to leave. He wanted championships. It all depends on what you’re striving for and if it’s worth it in the end…. Life changes and so does work and being flexible enough to know how your values change with them is an invaluable skill to have.
The point of entrepreneurship is to do what you love and make money while doing it. If something doesn't make you happy, you can always try different stuff. I enjoy working everyday and it doesn't feel like work to me. I don't hustle in any regards.
I agree, finding a balance is key to sustainable success in entrepreneurship. 🌟
I also struggled with this, and I came to the conclusion that my idea of success also rests on my health. I will not let anything jeopardize that Elijah Khasabo
Elijah Khasabo I tend not to think of it in terms of being for or against hustle culture. Instead, I grind when I'm tired, then take a decent rest and completely disconnect for a day or two from literally everywhere before repeating the process
Taking time to rest and reward yourself is crucial, keep up the self-care routine! 💪🏼
So important to take breaks! It's a marathon, not a sprint :)
Against hustle culture! Once you're not grinding 24/7, you don't want it enough. Nope, not me
One of the purpose of entrepreneurship is about identifying problems or challenges in the market and finding creative solutions to address them You can't solve problems if you are burnout. The key is to find a balance between your passion and health, cos at the end of the day you will lose focus if your health is affected Elijah Khasabo

11moHustle culture is so ingrained in our everyday. For me growing up if I ever slept past 9am regardless how late I was up the night before at work, I was lazy and didn't hear the end of it. I think (and hope) that over the next few years as more people like you are talking about it, great health (all aspects) will be the badge, not the hustle. 🙌
