Six months ago, I decided it was time to stop overthinking and start believing in myself again. Today, I’m beyond excited (and maybe a little terrified) to introduce Catalyzed Impact—a business that’s been simmering in my mind and heart for years. Motherhood flipped my career identity on its head. It made me question everything: What do I care about? What am I great at? How do I balance ambition with the beautiful chaos of life? Through it all, one thing became clear—I love tackling the messy, gritty challenges of motherhood, nonprofit leadership, and the big, bold dreams of women navigating their careers. For years, people have nudged, encouraged, and flat-out told me: “Start your own thing!” “You’re made to transform nonprofits!” “You’re the turnaround leader we need!” Honestly? I wasn’t sure I could do it. But after a lot of soul-searching, here I am—launching Catalyzed Impact, fully booked for the next year, and officially stepping into the deep end. This isn’t just about starting a business; it’s about finally saying YES to the whispers (and shouts) I’ve been hearing for years. To everyone who saw this in me before I did—thank you. Be a Disrupter. Forget what you thought you knew about philanthropy. Disrupt the scarcity mindset and embrace abundance. We all have the potential to give, but we need to practice an abundant mindset. My motto is simple: see the light, be the light, and share the light. Begin by believing in yourself and the possibilities. Then, share your light with others.

Imagine if all philanthropists who had the means and resources to make a positive impact on the world chose instead to only serve their own interests or those of their immediate circle. The world would likely be devoid of many of the advancements, innovations, and compassionate initiatives that have helped improve the lives of countless individuals throughout history. What's remarkable is that one doesn't need to be a millionaire or a billionaire to make a difference. Simple acts of kindness, whether it's lending a helping hand to a stranger, volunteering time for a cause, or offering support to those in need, can collectively create a significant positive impact on society. Consider the ripple effect of such actions. By instilling values of generosity, empathy, and compassion in ourselves and in future generations, we contribute to fostering a world where people prioritize the well-being of others and the planet. It's about recognizing that our time on this Earth is finite and that we have the opportunity, each day, to leave a positive mark through our actions. Investing in yourself and your giving today will yield rewards tomorrow. Here’s a great example I like to use: When you have limited organizational capacity, it can be hard to think with an abundance mentality.  But having a big impact doesn’t mean you have to be the biggest funder.  Sometimes, it means identifying your gaps in operations or knowledge and investing in filling those gaps. I want more women to be able to earn more money, because (it turns out - surprising NOBODY) that we were all raised, and are living in, systems which see us chronically underearning. Generosity as a Daily Practice in Life and Business Every day, I choose to embrace a lifestyle rooted in generosity. To some, generosity might seem like a one time act... but I’ve learned that it’s a mindset a way of living and leading.
