After much reflection, I’m excited to announce that I’ve stepped into the role of Chief Revenue Officer at ElasticHotel —a company positioned to transform the hospitality industry through innovative, customer-centric solutions focused on revenue management. Why did I choose this role? ⭐ Leadership Team: the co-founders are a formidable duo able to create revolutionary products and capture the market. ⭐ Redefine Sales: I have seen my share of poor leadership and want to contribute to a new type of sales leadership: one that looks, sounds and acts differently. ⭐ Learning Opportunity: growing and scaling a sales team at an early stage company comes with a ton of exciting challenges: hiring, sales-ops, processes, methodologies, learning Italian... :) ⭐ Family Goals: my girls are now 5 and 3 and it felt like the perfect time to give them international exposure. To be closer to the core team, we will be relocating to Madrid, Spain for the next 2 years. Estamos super ilusionados! In short, this role is giving me the opportunity to put into practice the knowledge I acquired at Stanford LEAD, build a company, help redefine a vertical and ultimately focus on my greater purpose: create environments for everyone, especially moms, to thrive in their careers. And I’m hiring. If you are based in Italy or Spain and want a fulfilling sales job with a stellar team, please reach out. Here's to new beginnings!

In today's professional landscape, job titles often seem like flashy badges, masking the true nature of roles and responsibilities. It's time to address the irony and shallowness behind some of these inflated titles. Here's a candid look: 1. Executive Customer Service Operator: Sounds prestigious, right? But in reality, it's just a glorified term for a receptionist or front desk attendant. While the title may imply high-level customer interaction, the day-to-day duties often revolve around basic administrative tasks. 2. Head of Sales Team: This title exudes leadership and strategic prowess. However, peel back the layers, and you may find it's simply a seasoned salesman or saleswoman managing a small team. While the role may involve guiding others, it's not always the grandiose position the title suggests. 3. Chief Executive Assistant to Director: With a title like this, one might envision a right-hand person to the company's top brass, involved in high-level decision-making. Yet, in many cases, it's just a glorified way of saying "peon" or administrative assistant. Despite the grandeur of the title, the job often entails mundane tasks and minimal influence on company direction. It's ironic how job titles can be inflated to portray significance and importance, only to reveal a stark contrast to the actual duties performed. This trend not only creates confusion but also undermines the value of genuine leadership positions and specialized roles. Let's strive for transparency and authenticity in our professional titles, reflecting the true nature of our contributions and expertise. After all, it's not the title that defines us, but the impact we make in our roles. #Authenticity #JobTitles #ProfessionalReality
