High five to all event managers who tirelessly orchestrate experiences at exhibitions, trade shows, events, and... high five to me. When event time comes, I get a little nostalgic and stressed. I remember all the events I've been to, the experience of setting up a stand the night before, meeting electricians who help me solve the lighting issue and getting to know the people behind organising the event, those who are not visible when visitors arrive, but who are instrumental in making on the experience they have. 🔔 Being an event organiser or preparing your company to be part of the big trade show can be a stressful experience, but I like to keep in mind some ideas: ☑ There is always a chance that something will go wrong. But accept this with a calm attitude and an "I can do it" approach. ☑ Take care of yourself the days before the event - it is easy to get sick on the days when you are overworked (this I should be doing more those days) ☑ Be open to making use of the event community - if you have forgotten something, just ask for help, you don't lose anything, but might receive some advice needed. ☑ Your chances of meeting people are just as good as enjoying the event itself - meet people, network and gain experience.
