Half of the guests were 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐜 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 from 10 different hospitals, from district hospitals to maximum care providers and half were representatives of 18 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐩𝐬 - from Mannheim to Leipzig, Latvia, France and others to Israel - whose innovation is already being tested or implemented with at least one clinic. The start-ups presented solutions for innovative training methods for surgical procedures, for networking surgical devices via 5G, for contactless sensing technologies in patient monitoring, for AI-supported voice protocols for anaesthesia through to fertility diagnostics and many other exciting topics. The Swiss startup 𝐐𝐔𝐌𝐄𝐀 began its kick-off on the German market after our ‘WE CARE - Startup Innovation for Care’ clinic startup matchmaking last year. After being trialled in the INSPIRE Living Lab, their patient monitoring solution has now been implemented in several clinics in the region. Anna Windisch gave an impressive presentation of QUMEAs path into the clinics and shared at our panel with Dr. Hannah Krause her experience about the 𝐝𝐨𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐨𝐧`𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐩𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐬. We hope that this year's event will also result in fruitful collaborations, which we will then be able to report on at one of our next clinic-startup matchmakings in the coming years. Special thanks to Angelika Habecker, Denise Iusco and Martina Walk for their support in the preparations and on-day support of the event. Are you interested in our format and would like to join as a clinic or start-up representative? Then please contact Bodo Brückner and Katharina Klotzbach.
