Museum spaces have always attracted people with the opportunity to take beautiful photos. Sometimes it's pictures of the exhibits, and sometimes just a nice selfie on a pretty background. During my time working in a museum, I often encountered visitors who wanted to take intimate photos. Usually museum rules don't deny this type of photo. But it can inconvenience other visitors, especially families with children. What do you think? Is it acceptable to take such photos in museums? #security #museumsecurity #museum #museumrule #primavera_911 # #securityguard #safety #Risksanalysis #securitymanagement #crimeprevention #predictiveprofiling #riskmanagement #securityawareness #physicalsecurity

Who controls the past controls the future. Who controls the present controls the past. ATTN NASHVILLIANS WHO WANT TO ACTIVELY SHAPE OUR FUTURE… are you also controlling the past?? Are you controlling your present?? If you haven’t already signed up, this is an incredibly powerful way to take this moment in time to directly impact the way we move in the future… to combat the censorship and revisionist history some other (ahem) groups are pushing. Historians know that it’s not just about interrogating the voices we do hear, but also interrogating the cause of absent voices. And asking “If the voice were present, what would it say? How would it impact the story that’s being told?” Too much of history education is already reduced to excerpts and quotes taken out of context, and truly voices are at real risk of erasure. Come hear their stories before they’re lost to history so that we can impact a more thoughtful, inclusive future. Also Tamyra Gordon MSEd is just really fantastic and you should support her work. 💥

It’s August - officially days away from our Greenwood Seneca and #preservationsocietynashville next Your Legacy Tours event at TRAVELLERS REST HISTORIC HOUSE MUSEUM INC 🖤 If we don’t go back with the goal of reclaiming their names and narrative then we leave them to be erased. Join us on their grounds, the space they occupied and continue to call them into existence. The truth is at risk of extinction. Let us be their storytellers. 📖✊🏽 Link to join below. ⬇️ A few spots left. https://lnkd.in/g_VmHAdy

So much to say about this project: 1.) We had an engaged client who trusted us to take risks 2.) We aligned clearly on vision from the get-go 3.) We had gorgeous content to design around and be inspired from And I think it’s paid off. We won an award. We’re getting some attention through various industry channels. It’s nice to feel validated, but the secret sauce was this: we had a client who shared our values. We’ve been talking a lot internally about our superpowers, our stories and values. One thing remains consistent: We believe the mundane can be marvelous. That being status quo is actually riskier than digging for authenticity. That brands who are brave and have a POV will always cut through the noise. Kudos to our amazing clients, friends and collaborators over at The Mansion. If you are local and a history buff, please do yourself a favor and visit (or at least poke around the site’s virtual tour!) The Louise Steinman von Hess Foundation entrusted Bom Bom to create a unique website for Wright’s Ferry Mansion, an 18th-century historic house museum. Because of its close quarters and faithful historic preservation, visitation is limited. To serve those unable to visit the property, an interactive experience was created to offer a rich digital journey through the Mansion. We’re pleased to announce that we’ve won an Honorable Mention Award from awwwards.com for our work on this project, and the site is being featured on siteofsites.co! NYC World Trade Center Visit Depending on your age, you probably have memories of where you were and what you were doing on the morning of 9/11/2001. However, those memories, as is only natural, have probably faded, unless maybe you were actually there that day. I had an opportunity to visit the 9/11 museum last weekend in NYC. And my memoires had in fact faded. The museum resurrected those memories and all that that event entailed: how individuals responded – whether first responders, people in the buildings, the passengers and crew who made sure flight 93 did not reach its target – the physical destruction and deaths, and so much more. It was so powerful. It is a remarkable remembrance of a terrible time and loss, and a testament to what can be the best (and worst) aspects of humankind. And sadly, the world continues to suffer from some of the worst nature of humankind. However, I strongly encourage everyone who has the opportunity to visit the 9/11 museum, but have not yet done so, to make the visit. Whether you have memories of that day or not. It is well worth it. https://lnkd.in/ef6qWmGA https://lnkd.in/ehYQx_yr (Scroll down for video - a short video w images and voices of the day) https://lnkd.in/euw2fJzN (History Channel reviews the days chronology and events)
