Reno de Medici (RDM) Group has officially closed its Blendecques board mill in France on August 31. The mill has a capacity of 140,000 tons per year of recycled board. The closure follows significant challenges over the past two years, including a major fire in March 2022 that halted production for ten months and severe flooding between November 2023 and January 2024. This asset presents the highest risk among the Cartonboard Mills from RDM Group, when considering the following factors: cost, size, technical age, and capital required.
