⭐ We're excited to share that Vedanti Meshram, a second-year student in the Master's program in Bioentrepreneurship, has joined Scandinavian Biopharma for her PP2 internship under Susanna Von Holst's guidance! 🗯️ 1. What aspect of the company or industry are you finding most interesting so far? "One of the most fascinating aspects of this experience so far has been seeing how the company operates at the intersection of science and business. The focus on developing solutions that have a direct impact on patients' lives is incredibly inspiring. I’ve enjoyed learning about the strategic efforts behind launching innovative products in new markets and understanding the broader industry dynamics. The level of collaboration and attention to detail required to make these advancements happen has been an eye-opener. It’s motivating to see how various teams come together to solve real-world challenges and make a difference in healthcare." 🗯️ 2. How have your initial tasks or responsibilities matched your expectations going into this internship? "My first week has been a great blend of meeting expectations and bringing in a few surprises. I had expected to work on tasks that required analysis and planning, but what stood out to me was the level of independence and initiative encouraged right from the start. The projects are not just about learning; they’re about contributing meaningfully, which makes it very engaging. While I had an idea of what to expect, the dynamic and hands-on nature of the work has exceeded those expectations and made me excited for what’s to come." 🗯️ 3. If you could describe your first week in one word, what would it be, and why? "Insightful. This week has been all about learning—about the company, the industry, and my own approach to this type of work. It’s been a mix of getting to know the team, understanding the scope of my projects, and familiarizing myself with the processes. I’ve gained a better perspective on what it takes to work in this space and how different pieces come together to create impact. The experience has set the stage for what I’m sure will be a period of significant growth and development." We wish you all the best for this journey 🤝 ☺️

As you navigate your internship and explore new job prospects, focus on cultivating meaningful connections within your organization. These relationships could be the key to unlocking exciting opportunities in the future. Don't be afraid to take initiative and step outside your comfort zone. But amidst your professional endeavors, never forget to prioritize self-care. Balancing work and life is crucial for long-term success and well-being. When considering graduate school options, choose programs that align with your career aspirations. Look beyond the institution's prestige and delve into the faculty expertise, available resources, and support systems. Additionally, seek out programs that offer hands-on experiences or research opportunities to enrich your learning journey. Lastly, remain adaptable and open to unexpected opportunities. Your interests and goals may evolve over time, and embracing change can lead to exciting new paths."

Today, I had the opportunity to speak at a Career Panel for Elsevier's Rising TIDE Internship Programme. 🌟 The Rising TIDE (Tomorrow, Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity) internship programme cultivates inclusion and diversity while providing underrepresented graduates with exposure to the corporate landscape. It was inspiring to hear fellow speakers' (Rebecca (Beccy) Rodger MBA PGDip CBCP, Elliott Parris & Maxine Herman-Oakley Mills) journeys across sales, HR and publishing as well. Here are some of the key learnings I shared with our interns as they are looking to make the transition from school to the workplace. 1️⃣ Embrace change in our ever-evolving world. 🔑 Every role is a learning opportunity. 🤝 Build relationships and network inside and outside of your team. 👍 Say yes, then figure it out later. 👥 Surround yourself with good mentors. 📚 Continuously upskill and embrace new tools.
