Deck pour day! In the bridge world, this is an exciting milestone – and we were thrilled to share this incredible footage of the new Porcupine River Bridge near Timmins, Ontario. This new 48-metre bridge will provide a more direct and scenic route into Timmins, significantly reducing traffic on Carrigan Road, which served as the alternate route during construction. What makes this project unique? ✔️ Semi-integral concrete abutments custom-designed to fit the steep bedrock profiles. ✔️ Structural steel I girders, a thin-slab concrete deck, and metal traffic barrier railings for safety and durability. ✔️ Environmental stewardship: Construction was carefully planned around migratory bird nesting seasons and in-water work restrictions.
