Optimize your sun shading with an intelligent presence detector! ☀️ A presence detector can make a decisive contribution to energy efficiency not only in lighting and air conditioning, but also in sun shading. In winter, it deliberately allows sunlight to enter the room to warm it up before the shading kicks in. This saves considerable heating energy. However, user requirements such as glare and privacy protection often conflict with these energy goals, especially in office workplaces. Here, the indoor temperature block must be lifted so that the shading functions as glare protection. An intelligent presence detector links a motion channel with the indoor temperature block and blocks it in a targeted manner. When it comes to shading control, users often prefer to intervene manually by raising the blinds and blocking the automatic system. When the room is then vacated, the presence detector can signal to the system that there is no longer any presence and activate the blind as effective heat protection in summer. A delay of around 30 minutes ensures that the automatic function is reactivated when the room is vacated. This function is not only useful for offices, but also for private homes, especially for patio doors, where the automatic system must be deactivated when the door is open to avoid security risks. A simple door contact can solve this problem. Optimize your sun protection with smart solutions for more comfort and energy efficiency! ☀️ #KNX #smartbuildings #presencedetectors
