Most folks that run Ad campaigns focus on optimizing the target audience, message, copy, visuals, etc. all to get a person to click on an ad and visit their website. That is only half the journey! Once a person lands on the website, optimizing for conversion is often overlooked... The first time I ran an Ad campaign for Microsoft Clarity, I made the same mistake, tweaking all the parameters and levers to drive as many clicks as possible and traffic to the site but not having coherent path to getting those folks to sign up. At that time, I manually filtered to ad traffic data and tried to figure out where folks were dropping off, what information they were looking for but couldn't find, and how shorten the path to conversion. With this new integration, the old me would have been able to optimize the ad campaign and gather insights way faster... This is just the beginning into helping marketers make the most of their advertising spend. There will be more to come and of course integrating with more advertising platforms! 😊

"Should I trust Google's Performance Max for my ads?" - FAQ, by my clients. Answer: Only if you have a lot of first-party conversion data. You see, Performance Max is a campaign type in Google Ads where you define your goals. Then Google ads auto-generate the ads that you can serve for your campaigns across all of the available placements, such as: Maps Gmail Search Display YouTube Discover Networks Sounds like a dream, right? Wrong. It works great if you have enough first-party data, but if you don't it'll flounder trying to find your idea buyers.

Why have a thank you page? (and not just a message when the contact form is submitted) 1. A thank you page is way easier to track in Google Analytics than a button click, which is a bit of a pain. You want to measure the number of people who fill out your contact form. 2. If you want to run ads in the future, either Google or Facebook, a thank you page is the best way to register a conversion event.
