https://lnkd.in/gjFfNxjn 🔆 🌷 🌳 🐕 🌳 🐕 💧 🌳 WHAT DOES THE COLOR OF YOUR DOG'S URINE MEAN? The color of your dog's urine tells us so much about your dog's health and wellness. It's important to know what is or isn't normal for your dog. If your dog's urine is an abnormal (color, cloudy, or odor) "Bring your pet to the Vet!" A Veterinary Professional will examine your dog and do lab testing on your dog's urine. Pet Health Insurance may cover some of the cost. Pay particular attention to "changes" in the color of your dog's urine. It will help the Vet determine a diagnosis and the best treatment options for your pet. If your pet has an accident at home, take note of how it looks. Has your pet had any illness or injury symptoms? During the night, your dog's urine may be concentrated with a darker urinary output in the morning. When you take your dog for a walk, try to see their urine stream. Medications and diet may also have an effect in color and odor. Dog Urine Color List 👉 Clear - Overhydrated. 👉 Light Yellow - Normal dog urine. 👉 Yellow - Normal dog urine. 👉 Dark Yellow - May be dehydrated. 👉 Orange - May be a sign of icterus or jaundice Need Vet diagnosis. 👉 Brown - may be a sign of a liver issue, may be serious and require immediate Veterinary care right away. 👉 Reddish pink - caused by the body producing a protein (myoglobin) in response to injury or stress. May need Vet care. 👉 Green - May be due to infection. May need Vet care. Give your pet love, comfort, and a positive vibe during his/her Vet visits. *Consult your dog's Vet for professional diagnosis and care. 🔆 🌷 🌳 🐕 🌳 🐕 💧 🌳 🐕 💧 #pet #dogs #dogsurinarycolor #knowwhatsnormal #dehydrated #overhydrated #followers @followers #linkedinlearning Enjoy this? ♻️ Repost it to your network and Follow Lisa Przybysz for more

Counterintuitively, a part of my job is helping some people realize that a hedgehog, or other niche pet, isn't a good fit for them. It's easy to impulse-buy a cool/cute looking pet because of the novelty, and many people do so without doing the prerequisite research until after the fact. Prepared owners make happy, healthy pets. The internet can be a good starting point, but also talk to your local veterinarian or reach out to experts in the field to help prepare yourself for a new pet. This paper looked at the relationship between husbandry and where owners got their information. The conclusion isn't all that surprising: https://lnkd.in/gB5gC2R3

Spoke to a #CompanionAnimal industry business leader today who described the factors leading to the ongoing #PetHealth sector boom as a ramp, not a bump. Certainly interesting to keep hearing how much #AnimalNutrition and #AnimalHealth companies are investing in the #Petfood and #Veterinary sectors and the reasons many industry specialists are predicting a strong upward trajectory for the market. According to Bloomberg, the Pet industry is supposed to grow from $320 billion in 2023 to almost $500 billion by 2030. Not hard to see why.

🚨 Breaking News Alert for Pet Owners! 🚨 🐾 Veterinarian Warns Against Giving Animals These ‘Deadly’ Human Medications 🐾 In a recent segment on This Morning, resident vet Doctor Scott Miller issued a stark warning to pet owners about the dangers of administering certain human medications to animals. 🚫 Paracetamol: Giving paracetamol to cats can be fatal. Is your 'local' vet or dentist a private equity firm in a trench coat? It's happening more than you'd think. Many small business owners are familiar with private equity takeovers. Now it's happening to veterinary care, where costs have risen 60% in the last decade. A recent Boston Globe investigation reveals that Mars Inc - yes, the candy company - owns nearly half of all corporate veterinary clinics in America. Independent vets report charging half the price of corporate clinics for the same services. Sound familiar? When large corporations dominate local services, prices rise while quality and community connections suffer. We're seeing this pattern across many industries - from Main Street retail to healthcare. This is why local ownership matters. https://lnkd.in/g-53rmjx
